As we start this Memorial Day weekend, please take a few minutes and reflect on its true meaning, “To mourn and honor those the have died while serving in our Armed Forces”.

Memorial Day originated in the 1860’s in Waterloo, New York, at the end of the Civil War and was called “Decoration Day”. Families decorated the graves of Union soldiers with flowers to honor them. At the end of WWI, it was changed to honor all fallen American soldiers and its name was changed to Memorial Day.

Enjoy your extra time with friends and family this weekend, but most importantly, stay safe and make good decisions.

Good morning! We have our stated meeting tonight at Keystone Lodge. We will also be holding an Entered Apprentice degree!! Supper is at 6 meeting at 7pm! Since the weather is so delightful Feel free to wear your favorite tropical shirt tonight if you are not sitting in a chair! We hope to see you there!!

As we all know, it has been a rough week for our first responders in Maine. Our fraternity has men from all walks of life with one main goal in common: to serve our communities. This rings true in the hearts of our first responders also. As a matter of fact, many of them also belong to our fraternity. As we go about our weekend and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having, please keep the families of those lost this week, those who were injured, and those who responded in your thoughts.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Responding to incidents that are tragic can weigh heavily on the minds of the first responders. Medical calls, car accidents and fires are all tragic and may affect those involved in different ways. Take a few minutes to check in on your brothers.
