The Maryland Ornithological Society (MOS) Convention depends upon volunteers like you! The 78th Annual MOS Convention will be hosted Sept. 25-27 in Salisbury, MD. For more information, please visit www.MOSconvention.org.

All field trips are guided by volunteer leaders. Field trips will begin on Friday morning, Sept. 25 and wrap up on Sunday morning, Sept. 27. Volunteers can also help with other aspects of the convention, such as assisting with registration and evening events.

The Lower Shore Land Trust will be partnering with the Maryland Ornithological Society Convention to host field trips on private properties during the Sept. 25-27 convention in Salisbury. The LSLT does wonderful work conserving and restoring land by engaging landowners and the public to sustain the unique rural character, landscapes, environment, and vibrant communities of the Lower Shore. MOS strongly encourages you to reserve your room at the DoubleTree as soon as possible. There is a large concert (the Oceans Calling Festival) in nearby Ocean City, MD during Sept. 25-27. Salisbury hotels may see some bookings as Ocean City hotels fill up.

Please note that field trips will begin on Friday morning, Sept. 25. If you plan to participate in Friday morning field trips, you may want to begin your room reservation on Thursday, Sept. 24.

Submit your original artwork for the Maryland Ornithological Society (MOS) Convention Pin Design Contest!

For each MOS convention, a pin is selected and given to each participant. Convention pins illustrate the time of year and a bird species appropriate to the location. Pin designs are selected by competition and are highly treasured convention souvenirs. Many convention attendees proudly display their colorful collection of pins going back many years.

The pin design contest opens on April 1 and closes on July 1. The 78th Annual MOS Convention will be hosted during Sept. 25-27 in Salisbury, MD.

The 78th Annual Maryland Ornithological Society (MOS) Convention will be hosted Sept. 25-27 in Salisbury, MD.

The MOS Convention Committee is working to finalize contracts with the DoubleTree by Hilton in Salisbury. As soon as the contracts are signed, we will announce when hotel reservations can begin.

Field trip leaders and co-leaders needed for the 78th Annual Maryland Ornithological Society (MOS) Convention in Solomons, MD!

All field trips are guided by volunteer leaders. The convention includes field trips on:

- Friday, May 15 (morning, afternoon and all day)
- Saturday, May 16 (morning, afternoon and all day)
- Sunday, May 17 (morning only)

There will be field trips that are accessible to participants using mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers and rollators. Generally, field trips will be hosted within a one-hour drive of the Solomons Inn Resort + Marina.
