Get a little excitement in your life! Sail a Laser at SMSA in Solomons, Maryland, and be part of the Solomons sailing lifestyle. Write to us and ask how, or just stop by our clubhouse Friday evenings after 5:30pm when we have Happy Hour! Please sign the guestbook and introduce yourself!

Our club will be open after Saturday's Shark's with Lasers, probably around 4:30pm into the early evening. If you want to find out what that was all about, stop by and ask us to show you around!

Congrats to John Herbig of Lexington Park, MD for winning our Weekend in Solomons door price package last Sunday at SMSA's Scott Kirby presented by Corona Extra show! In just over a week, small boat sailors at SMSA will participate in the Sharks with Laser's Race at SMSA. A Laser is a one-person sailing dinghy, slightly bigger and a little more complex than a Sunfish. Easy to transport and to rig! This event is designed to offer a fun day of racing and to introduce sailors to this iconic boat class. Sound fun? Check us out at smsa.com, and click on the "Small Boat" tab.

Five o'clock today (Wednesday, August 12th) is the deadline to sign up your child for the Junior Regatta and Un-Regatta at Southern Maryland Sailing Association. Kids of member families and stand-alone Junior members (ask how your child may become one) age 8 - 18 may participate for water and shore-based fun and games. Food, prizes, games and fun! Junior members should use the "non-member" sign-up tab. There is no other fee to participate.

CALLING ALL KIDS AGE 8 - 18! The SMSA Junior Regatta and Un-Regatta is this Friday from 4:30pm - 7:30pm at Southern Maryland Sailing Association in Solomons, Maryland! Open to kids who are full family members, and to Junior members of SMSA (and yes, you can become one!). Food, games, prizes, FUN!
