Hospice of the Central Peninsula

Hospice of the Central Peninsula Welcome to the official Hospice of the Central Peninsula page. Hospice of the Central Peninsula is a Volunteer Hospice. "You matter because you are you.

It involves a team of trained volunteers in an approach tailored to help a client or their family deal with life limiting condition. Hospice's blend of compassion and skill helps the client to live each day with comfort and dignity, retain control over their lives, and discover renewed meaning and purpose to life. You matter to the last moment of your life, and we will do all we can to help you die peacefully, but also to live until you die." - Cicely Saunders founder of the Hospice Movement.

Sherry is awesome! She is also one of our wonderful Camp Volunteers and the kiddos thoroughly enjoy her company! A well deserved recognition. Congrats, Sherry!

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Sherry Martinovich 🌟
For three decades, Sherry Martinovich has shared her time, talents, and caring spirit with the residents of Heritage Place.
From activities and outings to gardening, cooking, music, conversation, and simply being there when someone needs a hand to hold or a listening ear, Sherry has found countless ways to make life a little brighter for Heritage Place residents.
And retirement didn’t slow her down! After retiring from CPH, Sherry continued serving as a volunteer. Over the past eight years, she has contributed more than 600 volunteer hours at Heritage Place and throughout CPH.
Sherry’s incredible dedication is a wonderful example of what it means to care for our community. Please join us in thanking Sherry for the many years of compassion, kindness, and service she has shared with CPH! 💙

It's National Non-Profit Day!

"National Nonprofit Day is celebrated every year on August 17 to honor charitable organizations, their staff, volunteers, and donors for their social and economic impact.

NNP Day recognizes organizations that fill critical gaps in areas like health, education, and hunger relief; Highlights the vast U.S. nonprofit sector, which includes over 1.5 million organizations; Celebrates the millions of workers and volunteers who drive community change."

Ways you can participate in today is by volunteering your time with your favorite non-profit. Donate funds (or set up a monthly donation) to your favorite non profit. Or, and we like to encourage this a lot, by spreading information about your favorite non-profit and its services within the community.

We're not saying we're you're favorite NP, but we sure hope we're at least nominated for the honor. We love serving our community with the loan closet, end of life education and support, and grief support!

The campers have had such a great week, and we're so sad that it's already time to say good-bye! Hospice's office will be closing early today so that the office staff can assist with the closing ceremony of the 2026 Camp Mend-A-Heart.

The office will close at 1:30pm Thursday.
We will reopen on Friday at 9am.

Thank you for your understanding!

Registration for Camp Mend-A-Heart is now closed as the deadline is passed. We are so excited to welcome the many campers to this year's camp, and our Director and her volunteers are hard at work getting things ready!

We're just a tad under 3 weeks away!
