100+ Women Who Care - Soldotna/Kenai

100+ Women Who Care - Soldotna/Kenai 100+ Women Who Care about our community. Quarterly giving. Local nonprofits. Collective impact on the Kenai Peninsula. We all vote on which cause to support.

We meet for one hour, four times a year, and each member brings a check for $100. Every member can nominate local charities, non-profits, or worthy causes. Members who come to the meeting can put their name in the hat and speak to a charity they represent or feel is deserving. Three names are drawn at random at each meeting. The 3 members each make a 5-minute presentation about their cause. The to

p vote-getting charity then receives all the checks, made out to them on the spot! On each of four nights during the year, these 100 Women Who Care give up to $10,000 to a local charity, non-profit, or worthy cause, right here in our community. It’s fast, simple, and amazingly effective. We invite you to attend any time as a guest to see how it works and decide if the group is right for you.

What Would You Do? ❤️

At our First Quarter Meeting, the McKinney-Vento Program was selected as our recipient, and together, our members contributed more than $8,330 to help support local students facing barriers to their education.

It's easy to look at a donation total and see a number. What's harder to see are the individual lives behind that number.

Imagine being a middle school student who has recently been diagnosed with a serious medical condition.

Between doctor appointments, treatments, and long drives for care, your family is doing everything possible to keep up. Medical bills are growing, work hours have been reduced, and the little extras that most families take for granted suddenly become difficult to afford.

Now imagine learning that support is available through programs like McKinney-Vento. Assistance with transportation, clothing, school supplies, hygiene items, or other basic necessities helps ease the burden during an already overwhelming time.

Because of that support, a student can focus less on the challenges they are facing and more on healing, learning, and simply being a kid. Parents can breathe a little easier knowing their community is standing beside them.

This is why your membership matters. This is why every contribution matters. When 100 women come together, we aren't just writing checks. We are helping create stability, hope, and opportunity for students and families right here on the Kenai Peninsula.

🎶 Every Instrument Has a Story 🎶

❤️ Today's Story ❤️

Last year, one boy showed no interest in music at all.

This year was a complete turnaround.

He picked up instrument after instrument and seemed to have a natural talent for every one of them. As we watched him explore, it became clear he just needed the chance to find the right fit.

When we finally matched him with the instrument that was meant for him, the smile on his face said everything.

Sometimes a child doesn't need to be pushed—they just need the opportunity to discover what lights them up.

Thank you for helping make moments like this possible. 🎶❤️

🎶 Every Instrument Has a Story 🎶

At Every Child's Encore, we believe music has the power to change lives, build confidence, and create opportunities that might not otherwise exist.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing stories of local students whose lives have been touched by receiving an instrument. These stories aren't just about the instruments themselves—they're about hope, joy, connection, and dreams coming true.

❤️ Today's Story ❤️

One child burst into tears the moment a ukulele was placed in her hands.

She told me she had wanted one ever since a trip to Hawaii and never imagined she would actually have one of her own. Through her tears, she looked up and said, "Thank you so much."

I'll be honest—I could barely hold it together myself.

What may seem like a simple instrument can mean the world to a child. In that moment, it wasn't just a ukulele. It was a dream fulfilled, a reminder that someone cared, and an opportunity to create music and memories for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who supports Every Child's Encore. Because of your generosity, stories like this are possible.

Stay tuned as we continue sharing the incredible impact that music is having in the lives of local children, one instrument and one story at a time. 🎵

Ladies, we are SO close to reaching our $10,000 goal!

We only need four more women to make their contribution, and we can happy dance our way across the finish line together!

This is the magic of 100 Women Who Care, when women come together, incredible things happen. 100 women = $10,000 invested right back into our local community, supporting organizations that are making a real difference.

If you haven’t had a chance to contribute yet, there’s still time. Let’s do this, ladies! We can absolutely make it happen. ❤️
