Jessica Denniston will be here on June 21-25. June 24 is the show and Jessica will be teaching at Solid Rock and at Ulli Minelga’s home arena. We will be doing a mix of lessons and mini-clinics.
Please comment below or message what days/times you would prefer a lesson and which clinic topics you are interested in.

Schedule will be finalized based on interest so please let me know so I can do my best to accommodate everyone!
Private lessons are $75 ($95 for non-members)
Semi-private lessons are $50 ( $65 for non-members)
Mini-clinics are 2-3 hours and will cost between $45-$60 ($60-$75 for non-members) Mini-clinic topics will include:
Cavelettis and Crossrails
This class is great for beginning jumpers, and for people schooling their horses in rhythm and fitness. Lots of fun for western or English riders! Suitable for trot or canter riders.
Jumping a Hunter Course (18”-2’)
This class focuses on the elements required to be successful in a Hunter over Fences class, including turns, accuracy, and rider position. Suitable for trot or canter riders.
Accurate Transitions & Lead Changes
Great for English and western riders, this class will develop responsiveness and softness in the canter transition.
Jumping in the Open (18”)
Practice cross-country jumping and the dynamics of riding and jumping in the open

April 1st we will also be hosting an open house for people who are interested in finding out what Pony Club is all about at the Soldotna Public Library! Announcement Regarding Black Spruce Show August 27th

Due to arena footing, flooded parking areas, and the rainy weather, we are canceling the Black Spruce Show tomorrow. We appreciate all of our competitors and want to make sure our shows are the best possible experience for our community and we don’t think that we are able to run a safe and enjoyable show given the current weather.

However, with the help of our clinician and judge, Allie Carpenter, we would like to offer a clinic that helps you learn to show in different classes and disciplines. Topics include understanding the class names, judging criteria and what the judges are looking for, and riding practice classes. It will be lots of riding and instruction time in our indoor arena and no waiting around in the rain for your classes!

Our 2nd Black Spruce schooling show class list is out! Both English and Western classes are available! We look forward to seeing you on August 27th! Sign ups will be from 8am-8:45am at the Solid Rock ranch office. Please inquire if you have any questions. See you there!

You will also have the opportunity to ride in a lesson or clinic with our Judge Allie Carpenter from Aug 24-26th! The clinic pricing and schedule will be posted shortly. If interested please contact the club. Thank you!

Entry fee is $25 for your first class and $15 per additional class with a $15 haul in fee for non-pony club members and $10 office fee.
