ASC Training Center is one of the few combined Alpine, Nordic, Snowboard and Biathlon training centers in the country and the top racing and training venue in the Western US. We're a non profit organization dedicated to the lifelong enjoyment of and participation in winter sports. Headquartered at our world class facilities on Donner Summit, we offer programs open to the public in Nordic and Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding and Biathlon, and a 25km XC trail system.

Our Story

ASC Training Center is one of the few combined Alpine, Nordic, Snowboard and Biathlon training centers in the country and the top racing and training venue in the Western US. We're a non profit organization dedicated to the lifelong enjoyment of and participation in winter snowsports. Headquartered at our world class facilities on Donner Summit, we offer programs open to the public in Nordic and Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding and Biathlon, and a 25km XC trail system.

Auburn Ski Club was originally located in Cisco Grove, founded by a small group of serious skiers and ski jumping enthusiasts from Auburn who were determined to make winter sports accessible to all. In one of their early exploits, they hauled tons of snow by rail to the UC Berkeley campus, built a ski jump and held an exhibition. The scaffolding eventually collapsed and the event devolved into a massive snowball fight, but over 30,000 people joined in the fun and were exposed to snow and skiing for the very first time!

Though we’ve come a long way from the early days, we still hold that same passion for winter sports and still strive to share that passion with as many people as possible. Come find your fit here at ASC Training Center!
