Pretty awesome testimonial.

Last year I pulled into Caballo Lake State Park not really knowing what to expect.

I left a week later not wanting to go home.

Chile Challenge4x4 is one of those events that sounds cool on paper until you actually experience it and then you realize the paper doesn't do it justice.

The trails, the mountains, the people, a potluck that somehow keeps getting better every year.

The organization alone puts events twice its size to shame.

I spent an entire week down there last year. Came early, stayed late, shot more video than I knew what to do with.

October 14-17, 2026. Caballo Lake State Park, New Mexico.

I'll be back.

You should come find out what I'm talking about.

To quote U.S. Forest Service - Carson National Forest’s Angela Krall, District Ranger; “It's been awhile since I have posted a Feats of Strength Friday, but wanted to send a big shout out to Roger Pattison for being such an excellent partner in helping us deconflict motorized use and livestock grazing by assisting in the installation of cattle guards and cleaning out tanks on the Mesa de las Viejas on the Canjilon RD.

Roger dropped this lovely commemorative to hang in the Canjilon RD office; an example of the signs posted out on the ground. This was a project originally initiated with Chris Griffith and supported by Estevan Gallegos and Jennifer Sublett. Looking forward to more projects with Roger and the NMOHVA gang on the Carson NF!”

Many thanks to everyone who helped make this project a success. Together we do MORE!!

This is a decent read.

Nothing beats a Socorro night under the stars with a little dirt on the tires.

“America’s story comes alive on the back roads and byways that weave through our public lands.”

We could not agree more. These roads do more than just tell the tales of our past—they hold the legacy of our shared access to the great outdoors. They are the arteries that connect us to our heritage, our wild spaces, and each other.

From rugged desert routes to stunning mountain passes, America’s story comes alive on the back roads and byways that weave through our public lands. 🌍

As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and the BLM’s 80 years of stewardship, we invite you to uncover the breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and hidden gems that make our nation one-of-a-kind. ⛺🌄

Begin your next adventure and discover the wonders of your public lands ➡️ https://ow.ly/Ol7Z50Z4Pnw
