🇺🇸 July 4th Freedom Parade FAQ 🇺🇸
The annual July 4th Freedom Parade is one of Snyder's favorite traditions, and we're looking forward to another great parade through Towle Memorial Park! Here are answers to some frequently asked questions:

❓When is the parade?
The Freedom Parade will take place on SATURDAY, July 4th at 10:00 a.m. (Note: there was a typo on the Monday Memo. The parade, like always is on the morning of the 4th...which is SATURDAY.)

❓Where do parade participants line up?
Lineup begins at 9:00 a.m. in the Moffett Field parking lot off Houston Avenue at Towle Memorial Park.
(Please come in from Houston Ave. Not through the park.)

❓Do I need to register?
No registration is required! Simply arrive during lineup and join the parade.

❓Is there any paperwork?
Yes. Chamber staff will come around during lineup and have the driver or responsible party sign a liability waiver before the parade begins.

❓What types of entries are allowed?
We welcome a wide variety of patriotic entries including:
• Decorated vehicles
• Classic cars and antique vehicles
• Trucks
• Motorcycles
• Side-by-sides (UTVs)
• ATVs
• Golf carts
• Trailer floats
• Businesses and organizations
• Churches
• Youth groups
• Sports teams
• Walking groups
• Bicycle riders
• Horse riders (current Coggins papers required)
• Emergency vehicles
• Tractors and farm equipment
• Military and veteran groups
• Bands and musical groups
• Cheerleaders and dance groups
• Scout troops and civic clubs
• Family entries and neighborhood groups

❓Can I decorate my side-by-side, ATV, or golf cart?
Absolutely! We encourage participants to get creative and show their patriotic spirit. Decorate your entry in red, white, and blue and help us celebrate America's 250th Birthday and Scurry County's 150th Anniversary!

❓Can we hand out candy or promotional items?
Yes! Participants may distribute candy, small trinkets, coupons, promotional items, and other giveaways.
Candy and giveaways may be tossed gently from moving floats and vehicles; however, **please do not throw items overhand or forcefully into the crowd.** Safety is our top priority. Whenever possible, we encourage participants to have walkers alongside their entry to hand items directly to spectators.

❓What should participants bring?
July in Texas can be hot, so we recommend bringing:
☀️ Plenty of drinking water
☀️ Sunscreen
☀️ Hats and sunglasses
☀️ Cooling towels or portable fans
☀️ Comfortable shoes for walkers
☀️ Water for animals
☀️ Patriotic decorations
☀️ A positive attitude and lots of community spirit!

❓Are there any safety requirements?
• All drivers must operate safely and at parade speed.
• Riders should remain seated in moving vehicles or floats.
• Children should be supervised at all times.
• Horses must have current Coggins documentation available upon request.
• No reckless driving, racing, burnouts, or unsafe maneuvers will be permitted.
• Please be courteous to fellow parade participants and spectators.

❓How much does it cost to participate?
Participation is **FREE!**

❓Who can participate?
Everyone! Businesses, organizations, churches, schools, families, clubs, and individuals are encouraged to join us in celebrating one of Snyder's most cherished traditions.

❓What is this year's theme?
This year's celebration honors **America's 250th Birthday** and **Scurry County's 150th Anniversary**, making this year's Freedom Parade extra special!
