We are at WTC today for Snyder Sparks!!! Stop by to see Starlynn and have a try at making homemade butter!!! 4-H members you can also join Starlynn at the booth and assist in teaching others how butter is made. We will be out there till 2 this afternoon.

Introducing We Serve Wednesdays!

Every Wednesday, we'll highlight opportunities for Scurry County 4-H members and families to put their Hands to Larger Service!

This week, we have TWO ways to make a difference!

šŸš Show Our AirLIFE Medics Some Love!
We're asking 4-H families to help provide a meal for our local AirLIFE crew! Whether you're bringing a dish, drinks, or helping serve, we'd love your participation.
Call the Extension Office at 325-573-5423 to sign up. All food must be delivered by noon on October 21, cold and ready to heat or suitable for freezing. Please do not bring hot, ready-to-serve dishes.

District 2 Community Service Projects
Help us collect donations for the upcoming A Big To Do in D2 contests, November 2ā€“4! We're collecting fun-size candy, travel-size hygiene products, and Christmas food box items.
Not attending district contests? You can still help! Simply drop off your donations at the Scurry County Extension Office before the contests, and we'll make sure they're included with our county's contributions!

šŸšØ PARENTS: DISTRICT REGISTRATION DEADLINE TODAY!

All Consumer Decision Making, Food Challenge, and Food Show entries for the District 2 contests are due TODAY, October 12!

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:
When registering through Texas 4-H Online, enter d2-county-invoice in the County Invoice Code field when prompted for payment. DO NOT PAY ONLINE! Scurry County 4-H will cover the registration fee.

We're getting our flower beds ready for fall, and we could use a few helping hands!

Join us Saturday, October 17, for a 4-H community service project at the Scurry County Extension Office. All 4-H members are welcome, especially those interested in gardening and horticulture!

Come lend a hand, learn a little, and help spruce up our office grounds while earning community service credit.

Giving back to our communities through Community Service projects is a large part of our 4-H program.
Weā€™re challenging all of our members to bring items by our extension office for our Big to do In D2 district wide service project.
Needed items are listed in the attached post. They can be dropped off at our office through Oct 29th.
4-H and ā€œHands to Larger Serviceā€ in action.

We are grateful for the opportunity to take our 4-H youth to commissioners court every year during National 4-H week!!!

Today our members spoke to the court about their personal 4-H involvement and experiences and how 4-H is directing their current and future endeavors.

We then witnessed the signing of the National 4-H Week Proclamation.

Special thanks to Judge Hicks, Commissioner Williams, Commissioner Scott, Commissioner McCowen, and Commissioner Mitchell for your continued support of our youth and families in our Scurry County 4-H program!!!

It is a wonderful partnership we have as we train and equip our youth to serve and lead our communities in the future.

Clover Kids ā€” October is for you!
Donā€™t forget, our Clover Kids are invited to join us TONIGHT at 6 p.m. at the Armory for our October 4-H Hangout!
And thereā€™s even more fun coming later this month! Weā€™re planning a Clover Kid Fall Festival just for our Kā€“2nd grade members, with games, activities and plenty of fall fun.
