Our Story

Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection District and Basalt and Rural Fire Protection District are merging! Starting the first of the year, the communities of Snowmass Village, Old Snowmass, Wildcat Ranch, Basalt, Thomasville and El Jebel will now have Fire and EMS service from Roaring Fork Fire Authority. We are excited for the opportunity to serve the people of our fine district with the same professionalism and expertise as has been delivered in the past.

The Union is here as another outlet to our community to better know the men and women who serve them. We are here for you and we encourage you to ask us any questions you might have. We are always looking for Volunteer opportunities and ways to active in the community, please approach us with anything you may need help with. The Snowmass Firefighters Union will change to Roaring Fork Firefighters Union starting Jan 1, 2019, under the same IAFF union number (#4327).
