Aspen Chapel Gallery opens new show today

We are heartbroken over hearing that a mama bear was hit today on Highway 82 near the Carbondale traffic light. Her cub stayed in the median not wanting to leave her body. 😥

The good news is we've heard this cub was rescued by CPW and taken to the Pauline S. Schneegas Wildlife Foundation to be cared for. (please consider donating to them--they are doing powerful work).

This is why we are doing this. This is why this is so important to us.

The show weaves wildlife conservation into the broader theme of safe passage, marking the gallery's 40th year of showcasing local art in Aspen. Local athlete and wildlife advocate Chris Davenport joined us on Vail Pass last week to check out two new wildlife underpasses under construction and talk about why safe crossings matter for the animals 🦌🐻 (and drivers 🚗) who share our highways.
