Snowflake Heritage Foundation The Snowflake Heritage Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to pres Flake Home, the Freeman Home, The Jesse N. Flake cabins.

The Snowflake Heritage Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the unique pioneer heritage of Snowflake, Arizona. The Foundation offers tours of the Stinson Museum and several historic properties in Snowflake, including the James M. Smith Home as well as the Locy Rogers and William J. Tours are available Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. Contact the Snowflake-Taylor Chamber of Commerce at 928-536-4331 for more information. The Snowflake Heritage Foundation, which is entirely staffed by volunteers, also works to scan and preserve historic photographs and documents related to Snowflake's history. We welcome volunteers to serve as tour guides or otherwise help in the mission of the Foundation.

for providing the much appreciated donation to the Snowflake Heritage Foundation for a badly needed new roof on the Stinson Museum…
Words cannot express our gratitude.

The Stinson Museum is the first and oldest building in Snowflake, built about 1873.

All donations the the SHF are much needed and appreciated. They help us continue to keep up maintenance on our buildings, lawn care, and record/picture preservation.
It is the mission of the SHF to keep our museum’s safely running and open for all to enjoy! 😊

The Snowflake Heritage Board is reaching out with some updates and opportunities to serve.

Updates:
First: Our summer hours have returned.
Monday through Saturday 10 to 2.

Second: There are four homes generally open for tours but two of our homes, the James M. Flake and Jesse N. Smith home, are owned by different families and therefore their accessibility is subject to change. Calling the Chamber should help with planning.

Third: We have a new Blacksmith-Mike Quimby opens the Forge from 12 to 2 on Saturdays.

Fourth: We have a good collection of history books and memorabilia for purchase during open hours

Opportunities to serve:
We are updating "Just Serve" with opportunities for service from dusting to data entry. Some of the data entry can be done from home.

We are also hoping there are community members who would like to be tour guides and we invite you to come join us. It is a great way to meet people from all over and to share our pioneer heritage with them. Don't be intimidated if you feel like you don't know enough, we will help you and there are cheat sheets everywhere.

Please spread the word, at 7:30 in the morning, we have 355 flags to put up at the cemetery.
If you can, please tell anyone that would like to come and would like bring, kids or grandkids to help! It’s a great way to do service hours for the 250!
