The Snowflake Heritage Board is reaching out with some updates and opportunities to serve.

Updates:
First: Our summer hours have returned.
Monday through Saturday 10 to 2.

Second: There are four homes generally open for tours but two of our homes, the James M. Flake and Jesse N. Smith home, are owned by different families and therefore their accessibility is subject to change. Calling the Chamber should help with planning.

Third: We have a new Blacksmith-Mike Quimby opens the Forge from 12 to 2 on Saturdays.

Fourth: We have a good collection of history books and memorabilia for purchase during open hours

Opportunities to serve:
We are updating "Just Serve" with opportunities for service from dusting to data entry. Some of the data entry can be done from home.

We are also hoping there are community members who would like to be tour guides and we invite you to come join us. It is a great way to meet people from all over and to share our pioneer heritage with them. Don't be intimidated if you feel like you don't know enough, we will help you and there are cheat sheets everywhere.

Please spread the word, at 7:30 in the morning, we have 355 flags to put up at the cemetery.
If you can, please tell anyone that would like to come and would like bring, kids or grandkids to help! It’s a great way to do service hours for the 250!

At the Snowflake Heritage Foundation, one of the many projects we are currently working on to help preserve our rich Heritage is
“Adopt A Grave”

We have alot of unmarked or deteriorating graves in our towns cemetery. We would like to remedy that by getting as many people as possible to participate in this program.

Please read the information and instructions in the pictures as to how you can help with this worthy cause.

If you would like to “Adopt A Grave” there is a phone number you can call or you are welcome to stop by the Stinson Museum when open during our winter hours,
12 to 2 pm, Monday thru Saturday.
