Today I am contemplating a line from one of class textbooks and feel the need to share it. I challenge you all to think about this statement and remember this lesson when you feel forsaken, downtrodden and hopeless. “God does not make junk, and he does not junk what he has made”
We often hear the first part of this statement, but how many have heard the rest. No matter what sin and temptation you have given in to, God created everyone equally for all good things in his glory and through the redemption of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have been saved. When you feel like you are junk, just know that God knows you are not and will not junk you, no matter how bad things seem. All you have to do is look to him, keep your head up and take comfort in knowing that he is always there, waiting to take you into his warm embrace.
Keep going and know you are loved!

If anyone is thinking about star link service, click the referral link below and we both get a free month of service! Out where I’m at it’s by FAR the absolute best. With HughesNet we were getting download speeds around 3-12 mbps, at times dropping as low as 0.5. Too many times we couldn’t even stream anything. With Starlink, our average is about 120 mbps, and the lowest I’ve seen was 32 mbps.

Ok, I apologize. I got busy this morning and was not able to get on live to make the announcement. Second Chance Equine Reacue for personal reasons has not been operating for nearly two years. We are currently in the process of filing new paperwork and getting a fresh start! We will now be known as Fire Ranch Rescue and will be updating the 501c3 as well as finally implementing a self guided program to assist not only first responders and military with PTSD and other issues, but will be working with adults, children and anyone who would benefit from our services. This will tie in directly with my ministry and we will be using a Christ based approach. Look for more updates coming in the near future.

Now that I’ve met with Admin, I can make an announcement. As of today I am officially retiring from Fire and EMS field work. After 30 great years, I’m beginning a new chapter and am focusing solely on my Chaplaincy! God is truly amazing and I am doubly blessed to not only have had the honor and privilege of an awesome career, but to now have the opportunity to serve God and further develop the path he has chosen for me!! I can focus completely on my mission to to help decrease first responder PTSD and su***de. One more announcement will be coming on Monday at 9 am!

REGARDING PARAMEDICS/EMTs :
If you have never zipped up body bags on a shift, you shouldn’t be deciding how much paramedics/EMTs make.
If you have never watched a person suffocate to death from their own blood or sputum, you shouldn’t be deciding how much paramedics/EMTs make.
If you have never been punched and kicked for trying to assess your patient, you shouldn’t be deciding how much paramedics/EMTs make.
If you have never had someone beg you to not let them die, or to let them die, you shouldn’t be deciding how much paramedics/EMTs make.
If you've never had to look into a loved ones eyes or hold them while they crumble when you tell them of the death of their child, mother, father, sister, aunt, gran, papa... you shouldn't be deciding how much paramedics/EMTs make.
If you have never told your family your shift was “fine” to spare them from what you saw that day, you shouldn’t be deciding how much paramedics/EMTs make.
If you’ve never felt ribs breaking from doing CPR on someone’s family member, you shouldn’t be deciding how much paramedics/EMTs make.
If you have never missed holidays with your family, your kids first steps, ballgames, etc. you should not decide how much paramedics/EMTs make.
For years Medics & EMTs have been underpaid and undervalued and no one seemed to care.
Now that healthcare is on the brink of a collapse, everyone is concerned.
Paramedics & EMTs are leaving the profession at rapid rates.
Perhaps it’s from the years of getting 1% raises or no raise, working numerous jobs and barely being able to pay bills. Maybe it’s because paramedics & EMTs are asked to do more and more with less. Maybe it’s from the terrible staffing ratios. The reasons are honestly endless.
Let’s start caring about paramedics & EMTs retention, training, fair wages, safe staffing, & taking care of our EMS when they become physically & mentally broken from all the years of working.
Let’s not get to the point where you need a medic/ EMT and there isn’t one to spare.
COPIED… never forget they are more than Ambulance drivers🚑
