I have been participating in the national EMS Memorial Bike Ride for the past week. These 2 tags and the pictures of the providers I am riding for bring forth the memories of lost friends in EMS but also to these fine providers that I do not know - my heart goes out their their families. Today and for as long as I ride they will be with me in spirit.
Thank a EMS provider today and tell them to be careful and safe. We work in a dangerous job at times and our main goal is to help people. Our other goal is get home to our families. To all please be safe. Be the light be helpful and kind.

Mother Nature has once again chosen chaos. 🌬️🥶 Temperatures are dropping, and frost alerts are in effect for the next few days.

If you’ve already planted flowers—this is your official warning to go rescue them before they become decorative ice cubes. 🌸🧊

Residents are encouraged to:

Bring in or cover plants (they didn’t sign up for this)
Prepare for chilly mornings and evenings
Mentally prepare for second winter… because apparently we’re doing that again - just the dip in temps .....

Stay warm, stay safe, and remember—just when you think it’s spring… it’s not. (Wednesday suppose to be nicer)

It’s a quiet, reflective day…
but let’s be honest — we still know how this goes 😅

🥚 “I’ll just hide ONE more egg…”
🚗 Entire neighborhood now doing 25 in a 10

🍫 “I’ll save this candy for Sunday…”
👉 Gone by Friday afternoon

👟 Kids: calmly waiting for Easter
Also kids: training like it’s the Olympics for egg hunting

Meanwhile EMS is like:
“Please… just one holiday without someone trying to race a scooter downhill.” 🙏

Take it easy today, stay safe, and maybe stretch before the competitive egg hunt season begins.

Spring has officially arrived… and so have the kids, joggers, dog walkers, bikers, and that one guy who suddenly decided today is the day to train for a marathon. 🌷😄

Our streets are a lot busier, so please slow down through town, actually stop at stop signs (yes, all the way), and keep an eye out for people popping out like it’s a game of real-life Frogger.

Let’s keep everyone safe so the only thing getting hurt this spring is your allergies.

We are being told there are folks without power this morning. If you need to charge phones or get a cup of coffee, get warm the ambulance station is open

If you are still without power the ambulance station is open
You can stop in and charge your phones or rechargeable light. Get a coffeeor tea.

🌷🚑 Spring Has Sprung in EMS 🚑🌷
With the arrival of spring comes warmer weather, longer days… and a whole new set of challenges for EMS providers.

While many people are enjoying the sunshine, EMS crews are seeing the seasonal shift firsthand:

Increased motor vehicle crashes as more drivers hit the road

A rise in allergy-related breathing issues

Injuries from outdoor activities and yard work

Muddy roads and unpredictable conditions that make responses more difficult

Spring also brings rapidly changing temperatures, which can impact both patients and responders. One minute it’s warm and sunny, the next it’s cold and wet — and emergency calls don’t wait for perfect weather.

Behind the scenes, ambulances and crews are working through it all — navigating dirt roads, mud, and tough conditions to reach those in need. What may look like a messy ambulance is often a sign of the dedication it takes to respond, no matter the environment.

🚑 A Reminder to the Community:
Drive cautiously, especially during the first warm days of the season

Take breaks and use proper techniques during outdoor work

Stay aware of allergy symptoms and seek help if breathing becomes difficult

Remember that changing weather can impact your health and safety

Spring is a beautiful time of year, but it also serves as a reminder that emergencies can happen anytime.

Your local EMS providers are always ready — in every season, in every condition.

The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today
