🐴 Tonight’s Sheriff’s Posse Ride! 🐴



Tonight was all about building confidence, control, and teamwork for both horse and rider!



We practiced:

• Riding side-by-side and in a line

• Turning around cones

• Walking through obstacles

• Backing up

• And finished the night with a fun game of Red Light, Green Light! 🚦🐎

Thank you to Roschelle and her husband for making the fabulous new obstacle. Eventually all the horses either went through or at least touched it!

A big thank you to our new riders who joined us tonight — you made it such a fun evening!

Our rides are welcoming to horses and riders of all disciplines and experience levels. Whether you’re looking to build your horse’s confidence, expose them to new situations, or just enjoy riding with a great group, come check us out!

Thank you to all the new members who joined us last night for posse ride night. It was great to meet you and your horses.

If anyone is interested in seeing what we're about, come join us next Tuesday, August 18th. We meet at the arena between 6:00 and 6:30 and ride for an hour or so. If you're 21 and older, have a horse, access to a trailer and truck, you are welcome.

Anyone interested in learning more about what the Snohomish County Sheriff's Posse is all about?

We are currently accepting new members. Bring your horse and ride with us or just stop by and see what it's all about.

Tuesday August 11th, 6:00pm (although some of us are still rolling in at 6:30)
Posse arena just north of Snohomish.

5424 S Machias Rd, Snohomish, WA 98290

In order to join you must be 21 and have access to a horse, truck and trailer. The process is to come ride with us on Tuesday nights. Then you will attend a meeting and fill out an application which is the 2nd Thursday of each month. You can continue riding and at the 2nd meeting we will vote on your membership.
Our membership dues are $65 a year.
At some point you would need to purchase a uniform, but not immediately. The uniform consists of a hat, ariat shirt, belt and buckle.
We would love for you to come join us for a ride night and chat with us.
Some nights our rides are structured and some are not. The things we work on are typically desensitization, gaming and working in pairs. Our drill master typically will ask the group if there is anything we would like to work on.

Desensitization night at the arena. The poor air quality kept some people home. But we still had a fun and productive evening.

Great to meet Rachel. And thank you again Roschelle for taking pictures.

Looking forward to seeing folks next Tuesday. Crossing our fingers that the air improves by then.

Wow! What an amazing day we had yesterday. We had many people come help us celebrate Mike. Benton - Franklin Posse came and stayed the weekend to help us celebrate as well. To say that Mike was surprised would be an understatement.
As the evening was ending I said to Mike that he must be exhausted, his reply was…. No, just happy. ❤️
Thank you to everyone who came celebrate. And thank you to those that came to help, who pitched in, who drove hours to be there. We couldn’t have pulled this off without each of you!

Shhhhh. It’s a secret!!

Tomorrow afternoon we will be celebrating Mike (he just doesn’t know it yet).
This is his 60th year in the Posse. If there is anyone who we haven’t contacted that would like to attend, send us a message and we will give you the details.
