Echo Lake Community

Echo Lake Community Echo Lake Community Group is working to help make our community safer - and a more caring place to live. To do so, we will need to collaborate.

Welcome to Echo Lake - a community of unique individuals united by the enjoyment of living in a wooded environment filled with wildlife and nature. The community members who have joined together believe Echo Lake is a distinctively rich community of residents representing diverse skills, traditions, beliefs, values, and perspectives. We also believe that if a disaster strikes tomorrow, it will be

our human nature, proximity, courage, and empathy that will enable us to react as a community. We also believe we can save more lives and help more people if we elevate our readiness as a community. If being better prepared is on your mind, join us. If the idea of banding together to protect each other and our property is important to you, join us. We are the Echo Lake Community Group

The purpose of the Echo Lake Community Group is to provide an association of mutual aid. A place where community members can connect with each other, explore, and discover solutions to emergency needs. The mission of the Echo Lake Community Group is to plan and build a community safety net. A collection of neighbors ready and willing to share their skills and wisdom to serve in an emergency the physiological needs of survival and safety, the psychological needs of connection and belonging. The vision of the Echo Lake Community Group is that our neighbors will discover the social and economic value of a community that collaborates.

Looking for Rental Housing

Hi Neighbors!

I am Germaine Fitzgerald, a resident of the Echo Lake Community for over 20 years, with a long career history of
responsibility and connection to the community.

If you've attended the annual Block Party, you may already have met me! I presented the local wildlife booth where you may have learned about the wingspan of an eagle, or looked at the many plaster cast paw prints of wild animals in our area. I was an original organizer in 2018 with the Echo Lake Community Group and the Lost Echo Ham Club, and have served as a knowledgeable local, wildlife advocate for the neighborhood.

After 21 years in the same rental, the property will soon be repurposed by the owner. I am currently looking for a local residence to rent and would like to stay in beautiful Echo Lake or surrounding neighborhoods. A potential residence might be a mother-in-law apartment, accessory dwelling unit, the lower level of a house, a room plus storage, a duplex, or a cooperative shared living space.

If you can help or if you know someone who may be able to, please contact me and I will quickly respond. I will be happy to provide letters of recommendation, etc.

Email: [email protected]. Your
message will be forwarded to me. Thank you!

On behalf of the Echo Lake Community Group, thank you to all who donated blood at the recent March 31st blood drive.

Sharing this message from Bloodworks Northwest:

Thank you for your time and support to make this drive a success!

We registered 18 donors and collected 14 units of blood! This included 1 first time donor. Having new donors join us at each blood drive helps us to build a more stable donor base. We hope that both the new, and dedicated donors will give again soon.

We look forward to bringing another blood drive to the Echo Falls Golf Club in the future.

The blood that was collected at this drive is tested and processed within 24 hours, so that it can be distributed to our local hospitals. Bloodworks Northwest is the primary supplier to over 90 hospitals throughout Washington and Oregon. These donations are critical for cancer and leukemia patients, and help support those with
bleeding disorders, organ transplants, blood loss due to pregnancy and accident/burn victims.

To meet this demand and maintain a stable blood supply, we need to serve 1000 donors per day!

For those who donated at this drive, you will be eligible to donate again in 56 days.

Hi Neighbors!! You can help save lives across the country by donating blood this month. That’s because Bloodworks Northwest is on-call from March 10-16 with the Blood Emergency Readiness Corps to respond with a shipment of blood anywhere in the US that needs a helping hand. Blood donations are important locally, but also to help in national disasters like hurricanes, tornadoes, and other mass transfusion emergencies. You are critical to this mission. Donate blood at the Echo Lake Community Blood Drive March 31st to help build the emergency reserve available to ensure transfusion needs are met for hospitals during a mass disaster. All donors need to be at least 16 years old, and need to check in with photo ID.
