Building dementia-capable communities takes strong partnerships.

Community Health Workers can help families understand dementia, connect to local resources, access caregiver support, and navigate health and aging services.

Through my work with MAGZ Health Services and Anagail Health Training Institute, I am interested in connecting with Area Agencies on Aging, healthcare organizations, and community partners across Georgia to support dementia-capable CHW education, caregiver outreach, and workforce development.

Together, we can help families feel supported and ensure they do not have to navigate dementia alone.

: 📣 New Publication Alert!

The HHS Office on Women’s Health is pleased to spotlight a recently published article in The Lancet Regional Health – Americas. “A Novel Maternal Prenatal Risk Index to Predict Mortality-Weighted Severe Maternal Morbidity at Hospitalization” introduces a new maternal Prenatal Risk Index (m-PRI) that more accurately identifies patients at risk for severe maternal morbidity. By weighting prenatal risk factors based on mortality-informed severity rather than a simple yes-or-no outcome, the m-PRI outperformed existing obstetric risk scores and offers a promising new tool for earlier risk identification and improved maternal health outcomes.
