🌿 A Culture of Giving Back 🌿

Years ago at Susana Homes, a simple moment changed everything.

While caring for elderly women, medical missionary Dr. Kay Price recognized that healing sometimes begins with something as basic as food. She gave what she had that day—and promised more. ➡️ That act of obedience became Auntie Kay’s Food Pantry.

🌟 Today, it lives on through Charity Friday—a day dedicated to serving elderly, homebound women with food, medication, and Tea Time Stories: warm tea, Scripture, and presence for women in their 80s and 90s.

This past Friday was especially meaningful, as it marked one of the rare months with five Fridays—one more opportunity to serve.

👀As a children’s home supported by generous partners around the world, we believe the greatest lesson we can teach our children is to give back.

✨ “Freely we have received, freely we must give.” ✨

Our children got to go into the community to serve, by fetching water, firewood, weeding, washing clothes and doing everything and anything these elderly widows need on the day of service.

🙏 “Friday was remarkable,” shared Mrs. Salome Ohaja, who leads this effort with excellence and care.

A major milestone this year: we moved into what the kids call “the mansion!” 🎉 We are so honored to give our children a safe, stable place they can truly call home — with room to play, grow, and just be kids, not merely survive.
