I haven’t posted in a while because we haven’t needed anything said (that I know of). But last night that changed. The number of dogs that run loose in this neighborhood is getting way out of control. I’ve notice this happening a lot more lately, and the sheer number of mounds of p**p in my neighbors yards says it happens frequently.
Last night my daughter who has been staying with me called me in a panic. She was out walking her dog for his bedtime walk about 10pm when she heard someone open their front door. As she turned to look she saw two dogs being let out into the front yard, and the person then shut the door back behind the dogs. No one came out with them. She and her dog were chased by these two dogs who were barking and growling.
Please, please don’t do this! Your dog needs to be leashed or otherwise controlled when outside of your house. I know it’s cold and no one wants to walk a dog in the cold, but that’s what a fenced back yard is for. The neighborhood should not be treated as an extension of your fenced back yard. It’s not. It’s my yard. It’s my neighbors yards. It’s a street that filled with dangers for your dog. Don’t just let your dog out the door and shut it behind them! If you need ideas please call me and I will help you brainstorm what you can do to keep your digs and the neighborhood both safe from each other.
