We had our last mentoring session yesterday at Shiloh MS. Pictured are some of our 7th grade students. A few were standing to the side because they dont like to take pics. πŸ˜…

Most of them we've known since 4th grade, a couple of them we also mentor their brothers and/sisters. To know where they came from to where they are now...elevates us to keep striving and making a difference in the lives of students in our path. It let’s us know the work and sacrifices aren't in vain!

Many of them struggled in their own areas as many of us did as youth, and before MS, we expressed... every level will require a different you. They are adjusting and were so proud of all of them.

As always, parents stay engaged with and involve your child in all that we offer and always be willing to make an investment in their lives because their lives are at stake...and we coach accordingly!

Blessings. πŸ™πŸΎ

Share wisdom,
Give chance, after chance,
Who say NO to cause creativity and self-reliance,
Hug,
Share smiles that light up hearts,
Pray over your children without ceasing,
Give access to your child(ren) to grow in a community of supporters,
Finance dreams and goals,
Show faith in all you do,
Work tirelessly to hold up the home,
Wonderful wives,
Play sports with your children,
show class in all you do,
sacrifice your time and resources,
cook meals even after a hard day's work,
love on everyone thats close to them,
and give wisdom and understanding with the love of God.

We appreciate you, and we are ever so thankful for all you do on Mothers Day and beyond.

You are Legacy Driven in every way!

Much love,

Three weeks ago at Shiloh Middle School we did a Reflections exercise with 6-8th grades. We went around the room, and the students answered questions out loud.

One of our own, Janelle has been bringing guests into our sessions, which we truly appreciate. One of the young lady's thats been in our sessions for about 4 times that she brought answered the question, "What have you learned or gained from being in our mentoring sessions?"

Her answer was, "I have heard good things, but not too much really". I truly appreciated the honesty as that happens. But, what also spoke volumes is she keeps coming...πŸ’ͺ🏾

But, then she said, "Mr Leath, there is one thing that I feel every time I leave the sessions." I said, what is that?

She responded, "I always feel inspired. I feel better about myself and what I can do in my life."

It almost brought tears to my eyes because mentoring doesn't always solve everything in a youths life at that moment. But, to know she is inspired when she leaves everytime is a blessing, and we're here for it. πŸ™πŸΎ

To all the youth that see this post, surround yourself with people who inspire you to be your best self. Being inspired consistently is highly important, and we appreciate T's transparency.

Be Legacy Driven and keep living your best life!

From time to time, we will be sharing "Legacy Youth Highlights" to share about the students in our program or in any partnerships we have that receive our mentoring/coaching.

This is Maddie, a 5th grader who is a part of our partnership with Impact STEAM, whom we also coach when she's attending. She is super observant and retains everything quietly until...🀣

She's being highlighted here because...Actually just listen to our statement! She is already achieving great things in her young life and super creative, but I'm going to truly enjoy watching her grow through her young adult years. As long as she stays focused and true to herself like she does now...Whew is all we can say!

Thank you to her parents for allowing us to coach her!

A few of our 3rd graders asked if we could have a session this week, though it's a BYE WEEK for us.

So, the fact that they kept asking, we had to oblige. We love it when they ask for more sessions.

From 1st to last pic is Valentina, Amen, Keidon, and Shauntel wanted to do a leftover activity from Black History Month, where we talked about the importance of your lineage and drawing out your family tree. We had a great time today sharing our family tree.

Don't forget to check our BIO and donate to during our youth fundraiser this week. It ends this Friday at 5pm for the Double Good Popcorn option, or you may donate at www.legacydriven.org/fundraiser.

The family is proud to introduce our two new Impact STEAM Academy Youth Assistants Xavier and Ricki with our Youth Assistant team lead and Legacy Driven Spokesperson .jae (far right).

Xavier and Ricki both attend .generals as Juniors, and we're excited about what they will bring to our K-5 students with our partnership with Impact STEAM.

GOD says, "Go out and make disciples." We love our youth, and we're all about providing career opportunities to mentor and coach them, and we know these two will do an awesome job.

Thank you to their parents for trusting Legacy Driven to coach them to their individual greatness in this season!

Today, we took a moment to reflect on the mentoring sessions with our Shiloh MS students in 6th-8th grades.

Let me say, we are so proud of our students as they share some awesome words and testimonies when reading from the worksheets. We gave them 3 reflective questions and then were required to stand and share their answers to the whole group.

These pics are of a few of our 7th graders, Tamia, Chloe, Jeremy, Nia, Jada, and Ashleigh. We've been mentoring them since they were in 4th and 5th grades, and the leaps they've been made in their life from having FAITH to make their own individual changes to be their best self is amazing.

Thank you, young ladies, for allowing us to serve and guide you. To their parents, we honor you for the opportunity to SPEAK LIFE into their spirits. πŸ™πŸΎπŸ’Ž
