Please, don't burn, don't carelessly discard cigarette butts, be cautious when doing anything outside that could spark.

Many firefighters and EMS personnel across America are still volunteers, as of 2024, it is estimated (FEMA. gov) 70% of departments are still 100% volunteers, approximately 676,900 vol. FF & EMS members volunteer time away from home and their families, putting their life on the line for a stranger.

National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration in the U.S. that is observed from April 19 to April 25, 2026. This week is dedicated to recognizing the significant contributions of volunteers who lend their time, talent, voice and life to help others and build stronger communities.
