CLB-8, Camp Lejeune, wanted to shout:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Lola!
Last year, Lola's 7th birthday was unforgettable and life changing.
Her birthday celebration was cut-short with a trip to the ER. This led to her Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia diagnosis.
Soon, she’ll finish treatments and hopefully ring that bell 🔔 loud enough for us ALL TO HEAR!
Thank You, Combat Logistics Battalion-8 for stepping up, volunteering your time, donating your hair, and raising over $450 for children’s cancer research, back in March!

I have SO many photos to share and so many thank you’s to give…
but this is the only one you’re getting tonight because honestly, I am exhausted.
I walked many flyers into local businesses, fire halls and police stations not expecting to hear back.
Then surprise!!!
Turkey Creek Fire Rescue showed up WITH THEIR TRUCKS 💓
TRUE HEROES arrived ready to brave the shave for kids with cancer!!
This community SHOWED UP in the most incredible ways.
Also in this photo, our top fundraising participant Stef Devilbliss, and one of our honored kids, Lola, who is actively kicking leukemia’s butt.

A lot of tears have fallen into my keyboard while organizing this event, hearing story after story of how cancer has touched ALL of our lives.
Today hit especially hard.
A beautiful, generous breast cancer survivor is shaving her head at our event THIS SATURDAY for Children's Cancer Research.
With each new connection, I'm thinking of my loved ones who fought, the ones we’ve lost, and the ones still in the fight.
Children facing cancer NEED hope and our support.
