🐾✨ We are SO excited to announce a brand new program—Paws by the Sea! ✨🐾

Swansboro Parks & Recreation is teaming up with Onslow County Animal Services to give our adoptable pups some extra love, exercise, and time out in the community—and we need YOU to help make it happen! 🐶💛

Join us for a fun, feel-good walk where you can spend time with these amazing dogs, help them build confidence, and maybe even help them find their furever home. There’s nothing better than sunshine, fresh air, and wagging tails! ☀️🐕

CHECK OUT THIS NEW LOW COST MICROCHIP & VACCINE BUNDLE DEAL!

We are excited to announce a NEW SERVICE: a weekly microchip, rabies (1 year and 3 year available), and distemper clinic! Keeping your pets healthy and protected has never been easier. Book an appointment to join us on Wednesdays from 1-4 to help keep your furry family members safe.

👉 What is required: identification, vaccination history for your pets, and payment. Please bring pets on a leash or in a carrier.

👉 $30 package includes a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccination, and microchip. The package does not allow for removals of procedures unless approved by the practicing veterinarian. .

🎉Bonus: If you bring proof of a valid rabies vaccination, your pet's new rabies vaccine will be good for three years

We had another wonderful donation of straw come through from someone in our community. If you were in need for your outdoor pets, please stop by the shelter.

The provisions will be outside so they can be picked up outside normal business hours while supplies last.

New microchip scanning station installed at the Pender County Annex Building in Hampstead!!

Did you know Pender County only has 5 animal control officers to cover the whole county?

These microchip scanning stations are a great resource to not only the citizens but animal control and law enforcement.

Thank you Town of Topsail Beach, North Carolina & Town of Surf City for allowing us to expand more into Pender County!

📍1st station Is located to the left of the Surf City Community Center!
Surf City Parks, Recreation, and Tourism

📍2nd station Is located right In between Topsail Police Department & Topsail Beach Fire Department

This will help save Pender County Animal Shelter - Pender Pets valuable space and help the Animal Control Officer’s time!

Don’t forget to get your pet microchipped and make sure all your information is up to date!s

Pet photos with Santa today from 1-4 at NTB Town Hall! 🎅🐾🎉

TODAY is the day! Happy Pawlidays from NTB! Pet photos with Santa will be at Town Hall from 1pm to 4pm. Santa will be here to take pictures with your pet. The photo area is set up indoors for you and your pet’s comfort. Please consider making a $5 minimum donation that will go directly to Paws 4 Purpose.

And most importantly, all pets will receive a complimentary treat! If you don’t have a pet, stop by to visit Santa and to see the pets and enjoy a warm cup of coffee. Happy Pawlidays from all of us at NTB!

Come out to see us today at Sanctum 1791! They’re hosting 2025 Gary Sturgill three day fall classic, this event is open to the public. Lots of vendors, food trucks and great nonprofits.
