I am partnering with the walk bike run Nashville club and was offered a position on their committee... on the second Saturday of June 2026 we will be hosting a cycling/bike cruise in honor of my brother Mohawk Jon Hamiltons life who died while riding his bicycle to work on November the 15th of 2023... this ride/cruise will also honor the lives of many others who lost their lives while biking, skateboarding, or jogging... this event will host a 31 mile and a 62 mile cruise... I mentioned that the clubs I am friends with that rode with Mohawk and I ride old school cruisers, lowriders, muscle bikes, custom raked out chopper style bikes... that 31 miles might be to far to cruise those kind of bikes... so we are working on something shorter for the cruisers... I need volunteers to help with this event... in honor of Mohawk I would like to ask my friends that knew him and his friends to join up and volunteer at this event I need around 40 volunteers to help sit at water tables to hand water to cyclists etc... help manage intersections etc... there normally are around 300 that show up... we plan on reaching out to the bike clubs that are friends with Mohawks Heros Bicycle Club ... and I want a huge turn out... let's make it 800-1000 riders that come support our fallen friends and family and let's cruise... low and slow or fast n loud what ever you want to ride is fair game even goofy bikes... let's honor Mohawk the way he would have wanted.... let's make this the event that helps change the laws so motorist who kill cyclist and joggers etc will be held accountable for their distracted driving... how cool would it be for the bicycle community to come hog the road together and fill the streets with your favorite bikes... let's make a statement and get to show off our cool builds.. Sarah Hamilton can you help spread the word about this event coming up to mohawks other friends that I do not know... we need volunteers for this event honoring Mohawks life... more information is to come for all the bike clubs that see this post. This event will be in the middle.Tennessee area. If you live close, please bring out your coolest bikes so we can cruise together...

It has been a little over a year since Mohawk has been gone. Chuck Isbell is working with a group to host a ride coming up in the spring of 2026. Just be watching for updates and as soon as I know the date, I will start reaching out to get as many people as I can to get on their bicycles and cruise at this event. The event will honor Mohawk and others who have lost their lives due to accidents on the road. Most of these tragedies coukd have been avoided if we all could just slow down and not be so distracted. Stay tuned for further information...

Mohawks Heros Bicycle Club has formed committee board members to start organizing the event to advocate for safer driving practices while sharing the road with cyclists. The board members consist of Jake LeRoy the president of Mohawks Heros, the vice president of Mohawks Heros Andrew Mungovan, Chuck isabell who is an advocate for safety on the roads, as well as Jeremy Misty Byrd who is not only a childhood friend of mine but also the owner of the Front Street Sign Company. Together we will work as a team to bring this event into fruition. I just wanted to extend a huge and very grateful welcome to everyone for stepping up and coming together to work on this project. I can't wait to see how this event turns out. We will keep you all posted on new updates as they come along.
