What a week! 🏡💙

We spent this week at the 2026 Habitat Affiliate Conference here in Atlanta celebrating 50 years of Habitat for Humanity and our mission to build a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

As Habitat NWMA celebrates 40 years of service in Northwest Metro Atlanta, this conference feels especially meaningful.

We connected with fellow affiliates from near and far, celebrated the work happening across the Habitat network and learned innovative ways to strengthen our mission and create more pathways to safe, stable and affordable housing.

Here’s to honoring how far we’ve come, learning from one another and building an even brighter future for the families and communities we serve. The next chapter starts now! 🔨🏠

Today is World Habitat Day, a reminder that everyone deserves a safe, decent place to call home. 🏠💙

At Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Metro Atlanta, we see every day how access to safe and affordable housing can transform lives, strengthen families, and build stronger communities.

This World Habitat Day feels especially significant as we celebrate two major milestones: 40 years of serving families across Northwest Metro Atlanta and 50 years of Habitat for Humanity's global mission. Together, these anniversaries reflect decades of neighbors helping neighbors, communities coming together, and lives changed through the power of affordable housing.

Together, we're building more than homes. We're building hope, opportunity, and a brighter future.

Before the drywall goes up, the beams and doors become a canvas for blessings, prayers and well wishes. 🏠✍️💙

Each handwritten message is a reminder that this home is more than lumber and nails. It represents hard work, perseverance and the promise of a brighter future.

While these words will eventually be hidden, they will remain a lasting part of the home’s story, a reminder of the many hands and hearts that helped build it.

Build Day 1 is in the books!

Thanks to the generous support of our build sponsor, the Catholic Coalition, the first four walls went up last weekend on OJ and Chiquita's future home.

Coalition volunteers came together to help move this family's homeownership journey one step closer to reality.

Together we're building strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.
