Legion Riders Post 14 Smyrna

Legion Riders Post 14 Smyrna On June 1, 2017 a charter was issued establishing the Legion Riders of Post 14 as an official chapter. We attend charitable events throughout the year.

The Legion Riders are made up of members of the American Legion family who ride motorcycles. Our purpose is to support veterans and their families around the world but especially in the Smyrna, Delaware area. Although our focus is on veterans we are not limited to only supporting those causes and you will find us represented at most major charity rides in the area. We welcome new members and of co

urse you are always welcome to come and check us out. Our meetings are held at American Legion Post 14 in Smyrna, Delaware on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM.

On Tuesday, May 22, 2026 the Delaware National Guard held a deployment ceremony for the 25 members of the 198th Expeditionary Signal Battalion Enhanced. Members of the American Legion Riders from Chapter 14 in Smyrna, DE and Chapter 28 in Millsboro, DE, along with the Delaware Patriot Guard Riders stood a flag line to honor these brave soldiers.

Unfortunately we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone our DELMARVA Legacy Run scheduled for Saturday, May 2. The weather forecast for that day is for a considerable amount of rain along with chilly temperatures making the riding dangerous for those participating. In addition, the event is an outdoor venue. We are working on an alternate date and will update as soon as we can. Thanks to all of those who have worked so hard on this event.
