Calling all young artists! Show us what makes Smyrna special through your eyes and celebrate the people, places, history, and traditions that make our community unique.

🏛️ Highlight lesser-known places, landmarks, or cultural aspects of Smyrna

🌆 Combine historical elements with modern cityscapes

❤️ Share a personal interpretation of what makes Smyrna meaningful to you

🎀 A Special Celebration at the Smyrna History Museum! 🎨
On September 26, we celebrated the ribbon cutting for the Nellie Mae Rowe exhibit at the Smyrna History Museum!
This special exhibit honors the creativity, imagination, and artistic legacy of Nellie Mae Rowe and will be open for the next two years, giving our community plenty of opportunities to experience her remarkable work.
📚 Be sure to also visit the library, where you can see a model of Nellie Mae Rowe’s artist playhouse!
We hope you’ll take time to visit both locations and discover more about this inspiring artist and her connection to our community.

Smyrna History Museum will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday September 26th from 1pm-3pm of the Nellie Mae Rowe Exhibit .

The participants in the Smyrna Historical Society’s 1st annual “Our City Through Your Eyes” art contest were honored at the Smyrna City Council meeting on Monday night.

Congratulations to our winners! Your creativity, thoughtfulness, and appreciation for Smyrna’s history are exactly what this contest was designed to celebrate.

On behalf of the Smyrna Historical Society, thank you to all of the students who participated, to their teachers and families for encouraging them, and to the City of Smyrna for helping us celebrate the next generation of people who will carry our city’s story forward.
