Last night our President Geisa Salati had the honor to participate at the debut of the book LA STRADA PER RESTARE GIOVANI - Tutti i segreti per invecchiare sani, at the social event hosted by Rotary Club Parma at the Grand Hotel De La Ville - Parma *****

She was welcomed by the Rotary Club Parma President and his lovely wife.

Also from the hands of President Maurizio Giuseppe Vento, she received an autographed copy of the book which the event was all about.

The evening started with a meeting where the author of the book, Gianfranco Beltrami was presented and interviewed.

A long time Rotarian, Gianfranco Beltrami, is very concerned with the wellbeing of people’s lives and longevity lived comfortably. The author has the intention of help the riders think about their approach to life and nutrition, making better choices and improving their lives.

Following this year’s Rotary moto of Creating Lasting Impact, Gianfranco Beltrami donated part of the proceeds to Caritas Parma, a Catholic institution that helps people during their hard times providing food, clothes and even shelter.

The director of Caritas was present and said a few words about the book and the generosity of Gianfranco Beltrami and Rotary Club Parma.

The evening proceeded with a wonderful dinner following the directions of a nutritional portioned meal accompanied by organic wines. A total delight!

Our President Geisa Salati shared the table with past President Sara Rainieri, which she met at the club’s Centennial celebrations last year and other Rotary Club Parma members.

The whole night was wonderful and our President felt very welcomed and encouraged to bring home the nutrition ideas displayed in this marvelous book.

The evening was privileged to count with the presence of Rotary representatives from other Parma clubs, members of other institutions including the representative of the Catholic Church and the Rotary District Assistant Governor.

Our President is very thankful for this wonderful evening and wishes that one day she’ll be able to reattribute the courtesy in Smyrna, GA.

Our President Geisa Salati is in Italy and she’ll be visiting several Rotary Clubs. Her intention is to learn about how are they implementing this years Rotary theme of Create Lasting Impact and Promoting Peace in their communities, as well strengthening the relationship between our ROTARY CLUB of Smyrna, GA with other clubs in Europe.

Last year she was very honored to be invited by 2025-26 Rotary Club Parma’s President Sara Rainieri to participate at their 100 Years Celebration composed of several beautiful events with prestigious guests from all over Europe. She also had the pleasure to be invited by Rotary Club Parma Farnese’s President Antonio Procopio to participate at their social assembly where she had the opportunity to meet 2025-26 2072 District Governor Guido Giuseppe Abbate and his lovely wife Dr. Manuela Bastianelli.
Both events were memorable!

This year she’ll visit the Rotary Clubs in Parma, including the Inner Wheel Club di Parma Est C.A.R.F. represented by President Simona Cocconcelli Belli and Vice-President Elena Riccardi Ambanelli, which is a club formed by the wives of Rotarians with a long and beautiful history of service above self and the club her mother-in-law Janine Salati was a member until passing in 2023. She’ll be visiting the Club accompanied by her daughter Natalie Salati and it’ll for sure be a very special evening for both of them.

She also had the honor to be invited by the Rotary Club of Casale Monferrato’s President Paolo Secco to participate at their assembly where she’ll have the opportunity to meet District Governor Fortunato Crovari during his visit to their club. Casale Monferrato is city located in the beautiful Piedmont region and part of Rotary District 2032. President Geisa and her husband Fred lived there for three years as soon as they were married. Casale Monferrato owns a very special place in their hearts!

She’s really looking forward to all these events, to catch up with everyone and she’s exited to bring home new ideas and a few slices of Parmigiano Reggiano!

For now, enjoy her Aperol Spritz toast to an amazing 2026-27 Rotarian Year at the top of the Vittorio Emanuele Monument with the view of the Eternal City of Rome. Salute e Prosperità a tutti!!

This evening our Rotary Club of Smyrna, GA was well represented by our President 2026-27, Geisa Salati and our Secretary/Grants Chairwoman, Josie Brockman at the annual Backpack Buddies Gala, a beautiful event to get funds to support this amazing institution and all the positive impact it’s being causing all over the Metro Atlanta area.

The Rotary Club of Smyrna, GA have been collaborating with Backpack Buddies for the 3rd consecutive year helping feed students in need at Green Acres Elementary School in Smyrna.

This project helps alleviate the hunger suffered by elementary students in the Metro Atlanta area providing a bag of food per child to take home every Friday during the whole school year, promoting a peaceful environment at school for children to be able to focus only on studying and being kids.

This is a beautiful way to Create Lasting Impact!

What a wonderful day at the Rotary Club of Smyrna, GA!! 💙💛

On Tuesday August 11th we were honored to welcome District Governor Cynthia Dorsey Edwards of Rotary District 6900 for the 2026–2027 Rotary year.

We started with a club’s blessing done by our dear friend Chaplain Ramona Curtis McCary followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a wonderful lunch served by Mike Hickman from The Bountiful Basket Catering, LLC.

Her visit was filled with inspiration, fellowship, history, and a powerful reminder of what Rotary is all about — People of Action coming together to Create Lasting Impact and Promote Peace.

From learning more about Rotary’s vision for the year ahead to sharing stories, celebrating our club’s traditions, and connecting with fellow Rotarians, family and friends, it was a meaningful and memorable gathering.

A special thank you to District Governor Cynthia Dorsey Edwards for sharing her vision, energy, and passion for Rotary with us. Your message encouraged us to continue looking for meaningful ways to serve our community and make a difference.

District Governor 6900 Cynthia Dorsey Edwards awarded our members Ramesh Gupta with a two stones Paul Harris pin and Snyder Turner with a four stones Paul Harris pin. It was a special moment celebrating the dedication our members have with Rotary and Serving Above Self.

As we begin this new Rotary year, the message is clear:
