We are so grateful for our neighbors across the parking lot at Smyrna First UMC’s Weekday Education Programs! Most recently as a service project for teachers, Weekday Education provided meal kits for our clients that included recipes and ingredients all in one!

The Weekday Education staff are constantly offering support for all of our programs, and we are so grateful to them for this meal kit idea. Thanks to them, we’ve been able to provide over 45 of these kits for our clients!

Thank you so much to everyone who donated to the Tillman House through Cobb Community Foundation's Match Magic giveathon this year. We could never have predicted such an incredible and overwhelming response from our community.

These funds go directly toward supporting our clients- helping keep essential utilities on, make rental payments, and gain tools, skills, resources, and support needed for long-term stability.

From everyone here at Tillman and Smyrna First UMC, thank you for loving your neighbors so well!

Today kicks off an incredible opportunity to AMPLIFY your impact and help Smyrna families in need. 💛

From Nov. 11–Dec. 2, every dollar you give through the Cobb Community Foundation will be matched, helping us reach up to $12,500 in funds that will be used to support families facing eviction, utility shutoffs, and financial crisis.

In 2024, the Tillman House helped 343 families stay in their homes and over 1,000 families gain access to essential resources — and this year, your generosity can take that impact even further.

The Tillman House needs help collecting coats, gloves, hats, scarves and all other winter essentials as the cold season rapidly approaches! So far we have received many donations of children's items but need help filling the gaps for our men and women's winter items!

We accept gently used items as well as new, but please launder all used items you bring. Donations can be dropped off at the locations listed above. Please do not hesitate to DM or email us with any questions! Thank you for helping us keep our neighbors warm during the chilly season!

This week at After School Program, our students were drawing tomatoes on the sidewalk after they picked some fresh from the garden. See the large green and red tomato pictured.
