🔗 CONNECTED YOUTH CAMP | SEPTEMBER 19 🔗

What are we actually doing all day at CONNECTED? 👀

We’ve got a full day of worship, Bible teaching, challenges, competition, food, fellowship, and FUN planned—and every part of the day connects back to one question:

How do we stay CONNECTED?

🌿 CONNECTED TO GOD | 9:45 AM
We’ll kick off the day in John 15, learning what it means to remain connected to Jesus. Through an interactive lesson and activity, we’ll talk about how staying connected to Christ helps us grow, produce fruit, and navigate the challenges of everyday life.

🏃 CONNECTED CHALLENGE RACE | 10:30 AM
Think Amazing Race meets youth camp! Teams will race through challenges involving Bible knowledge, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and more. Can your team stay connected long enough to make it to the finish? 👀

🤝 CONNECTED TO OTHERS | 11:30 AM
Who are your real friends? What do you do when someone feels left out? What does biblical friendship actually look like? Through the story of the four friends who brought a paralyzed man to Jesus, we’ll discover what it means to be the kind of friend who carries others closer to Christ.

🌮 LUNCH | 12:30 PM
There will be a TACO BAR. Who doesn't love tacos?🌮🔥

🎯 CONNECTED TO YOUR PURPOSE | 1:45 PM
You were not created by accident. 💙 We’ll explore Ephesians 2:10 and discover how God has uniquely created each of us—and how He can use our gifts, talents, and everyday opportunities to make a difference right now, not just someday when we're adults.

🎨 COLOR WARS | 2:30 PM
Time to get competitive! Tug-of-war, capture the flag, obstacle challenges, and more. Which team will come out on top? 🏆

🌎 CONNECTED BEYOND CAMP | 4:00 PM
Camp doesn't end when you leave. We’ll talk about what it looks like to take our faith into our schools, friendships, families, teams, and everyday lives. We’ll finish the day challenged to be the salt and light Jesus called us to be.

🙏 CLOSING WORSHIP | 4:45 PM
We’ll end our day worshiping together and committing to STAY CONNECTED long after camp is over.

If your kids have had fun, made new friends, and loved being part of our youth group this week, we want to keep the fun going! 🙌

Join us for CONNECTED Youth Day Camp on September 19th from 9 AM–5 PM! 💙

And because our 5th graders have fit in SO well with our youth group this week so far, we’re opening camp to 5th grade, too!🎉

We’ll split campers into middle school and high school groups so students can participate in age-appropriate games, activities, discussions, and challenges with their peers.

It’s going to be a full day of games, activities, worship, Bible lessons, food, fellowship, and LOTS of fun as we learn what it means to stay CONNECTED—to God and to each other. 🎣❤️

🎒📚 IT’S BACK TO SCHOOL SUNDAY! 📚🎒

Today is Back to School Sunday at Smock New Life FMC! We’re getting ready to start a brand-new school year, and we want YOU to be part of it! ❤️

Join us this morning at 11:00 AM for our second service, where we’ll have:
🙌 Worship
📖 Youth Group
✝️ Kids Church
🙏 A special time to pray over our students, teachers, and the year ahead

After the second service, the 55 students who have signed up to receive a bookbag of school supplies will receive them. These bags will be handed out after they have been prayed over this morning. What started as a small outreach idea has turned into an amazing outreach, all thanks to God.

Whether you’re starting kindergarten, heading into high school, or anywhere in between—there’s a place for you here!

Come start the school year surrounded by people who love you, support you, and are praying for you. 🎒❤️

What a way to wrap up an amazing week of VBS! 🎣💙

Tonight, we learned about Peter stepping out in faith and walking on water with Jesus. 🌊👣 We talked about what it means to keep our eyes on Jesus—even when the storms around us feel big.

During our lesson, we enjoyed a special treat, spent time together with our families at our VBS End-of-Week Picnic, and the kids got to check out the firetruck! 🚒🍦

And of course… what they have all been waiting for😂 The boys won our offering challenge, which meant Liv & Taylor had to pay the price… with PIE! 🥧🤣

We are so thankful for every kid, parent, volunteer, and family who made this week so special. What started with a few kids on our registration list turned into an incredible week with 13 kids joining us! We are so grateful for what God has done through Fishers of Men VBS. 🐟❤️

Until next time, keep your eyes on Jesus and remember: He is always with us, even in the storm. 🌊✝️

Every single dollar counts for our VBS Offering! 💵✨

Our Youth Group is going head-to-head in an epic BOYS VS. GIRLS competition—and the stakes couldn't be higher. The winning team gets to PIE THE LEADERS! 🥧

RIGHT NOW:

🩷 Girls are trailing behind and need at least $3 to catch up!

Can the girls pull off a last-minute comeback, or will the boys hold onto their lead and take aim at the leaders with the whipped cream?

We are so excited for Back-to-School Sunday THIS WEEKEND! However, we are still missing 5 bookbags that were signed up for.

If you pledged a bookbag, please make sure to drop it off at the church during one of the times below:
