🍞 HELP US MAKE A BREAD CONNECTION! ❤️

Operation Homeplate is looking to connect with local bakeries, grocery stores, bread distributors, or delivery drivers who may have access to surplus or day-old bread.

We know many stores return unsold bread to their distributors, and we’re hoping to find a connection that could help us put some of that bread into the hands of families who need it!

If you work in the bread industry, know someone who does, or can point us in the right direction, we would love to hear from you!

Even a regular donation of a few loaves could make a difference for the families we serve.

Our graduation pictures are in! ❤️

Jamie Danielle and Tracey George had the opportunity to complete the RISE training through the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, and what an experience it was!

We went into this wanting to learn how to make Operation Homeplate better, but walked away with so much more. New knowledge, new connections, friendships, and even more motivation to keep growing what we’re building for our community.

One of the best parts was being surrounded by people who share the same passion for helping others. Different organizations, different communities, but all working toward the same goal.

We’re so thankful for the friendships, encouragement, and connections made along the way. It’s amazing what happens when people who genuinely care about their communities come together!

❤️ IMPORTANT PANTRY HOURS REMINDER ❤️

We want to clear up some confusion regarding Operation Homeplate and activities happening at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Operation Homeplate is a separate organization. We rent space inside St. Paul Lutheran Church, but we are not affiliated with the church’s programs, meals, events, or activities.

Our Choice Pantry has been and continues to be open ONLY on Mondays and Tuesdays. Our days have not changed.

❤️ Mondays: 1–4 PM
❤️ Tuesdays: 6–8 PM

If you see vehicles, people, meals, events, or other activities happening at the church that does NOT mean Operation Homeplate is open.

We also understand that Facebook sometimes brings older posts back into people’s feeds. Going forward, we will include the actual date on our “We’re Open” posts instead of only saying “today” to help prevent confusion.
