Our community sure pulled together today for our senior citizens at the DeKalb Health Fair! ❤️

We enjoyed visiting with everyone about our upcoming Drug Take Back Day on October 24 and sharing the importance of safely storing and locking up medications. We were also able to provide medication lock boxes to help keep medications secure.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated today and helped make this event a success! It’s wonderful to see our community working together to keep DeKalb County safe and healthy 👍❤️

Social media can connect young people to much more than friends. Counterfeit pills and other dangerous substances can be marketed through apps and online platforms teens use every day. Talk with your child about who they’re communicating with, what they’re seeing online, and why they should never take a pill that wasn’t prescribed specifically to them.

Learn more about counterfeit pills at DEA.gov/OnePill.

💚 Su***de Prevention & Awareness 💚

Last week, September 21st–25th, DeKalb Prevention Coalition had the opportunity to take Su***de Prevention resources to DeKalb High School, DeKalb Middle School, and West Elementary for resource tables throughout the week.

Students had access to a variety of resources, including information on signs and symptoms, words of encouragement, “You Matter” bracelets, and more. 💚

Sometimes, a simple reminder that you are not alone, you are loved, and you matter can make a bigger difference than we realize. We want our students to know that there are people who care, resources available to them, and that they never have to face things alone.

A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make these resource tables possible! 💚

Here are a few pictures we were able to capture from our kiddos throughout the week! 📸✨
