🥍💙🤍 Smithtown Booster Club Salutes the Smithtown West Girls Lacrosse Team! 🤍💙🥍

While the season ended in the Suffolk County Championship game with a 13-9 loss, this team has absolutely nothing to hang their heads about.

We are very proud of you and all that you accomplished this season. Your dedication, teamwork, resilience, and determination helped you reach the county finals and represent Smithtown West with pride every step of the way.

To our seniors, thank you for your leadership, commitment, and the legacy you’ve left behind. To the players, coaches, and staff, thank you for an unforgettable season and for giving our community so much to cheer about.

Championships are measured by more than the final score. This team showed heart, character, and what it means to be a Bull.

A special thank you to Smithtown High School West senior and talented vocalist Marilena Castoro .castoro for beautifully performing our National Anthem throughout the season and once again today on the county championship stage. Your voice and poise made every occasion special, and we are grateful for your support of Smithtown athletics. 🇺🇸🎶

The Smithtown Booster Club is incredibly proud to congratulate the Smithtown High School East Boys Lacrosse Team on capturing the 2026 Suffolk County Class B Championship!

In a thrilling championship battle at Stony Brook University, sophomore Brock Bernhardt scored the game-winning goal with just 37 seconds remaining to lift Smithtown East to an unforgettable 8-7 victory over West Islip.

This championship is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and determination of every player, coach, and supporter who helped make this season special.

On behalf of the Smithtown Booster Club Board and Trustees, thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating our 2026 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Weekend!

It was an incredible weekend honoring the outstanding athletes, coaches, educators, and community members whose dedication and achievements have left a lasting impact on Smithtown athletics and our community.

The Hall of Fame continues to showcase the rich tradition, pride, and excellence of Smithtown athletics, and we are honored to celebrate those who helped build that legacy.

⛳🎾🏃‍♀️ 2026 SMITHTOWN BOOSTER CLUB HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE 🏆

The Smithtown Booster Club is proud to announce the induction of Theresa Apoznanski Scott into the 2026 Hall of Fame Class!

A 2007 Smithtown High School West graduate, Theresa Apoznanski Scott is recognized as one of the greatest golfers in Smithtown history. Her incredible athletic accomplishments, leadership, and sportsmanship left a lasting legacy on Smithtown athletics.

⛳ Golf Accomplishments:
• 6x All-League Selection
• 4x All-County Honoree
• Helped lead Smithtown West to Suffolk County & Long Island Championships in 2005

Theresa was admired not only for her talent, but also for her integrity and character. In one of the most memorable moments of her career, she called a one-stroke penalty on herself during the individual championship — a display of sportsmanship that ultimately cost her the county title but exemplified true character and respect for the game.

🎓 Collegiate Highlights:
• Winner of the SUNY Cortland Cortland Invitational Gold Tournament in both 2009 & 2010
• Helped found the NYU Women’s Golf Program

In addition to golf, Theresa also competed in tennis and winter track during her outstanding athletic career at Smithtown West.

Today, Theresa continues to make the Smithtown community proud and is married to fellow Smithtown graduate Peter Scott.

The Smithtown Booster Club is proud to announce the induction of Robert Rose into the 2026 Hall of Fame Class!

Over the course of an extraordinary career in the Smithtown Central School District, Robert “Rob” Rose dedicated his life to supporting student-athletes, coaches, and the entire Smithtown community through leadership, mentorship, and service.

Rob began his career in Smithtown as an athletic trainer before advancing through the ranks as a coach, health and physical education teacher, administrator, and ultimately principal.

⚽🏀 Athletic & Coaching Contributions:
• Assistant Coach of the 2002 Long Island Champion Smithtown Central Boys Soccer Team
• Assistant Coach for Smithtown Central Girls Basketball
• Longtime supporter and advocate for Smithtown athletics and student-athletes

📚 Leadership in Education:
• Served as Assistant Principal at Smithtown High School East
• Became Principal of Smithtown High School East
• Led the school community with pride and dedication until retiring in June 2025

Throughout every role he held, Rob made a lasting impact on generations of students, athletes, faculty, and families across Smithtown.

The Smithtown Booster Club is proud to announce the induction of Dani Nizich into the 2026 Hall of Fame Class!

A Smithtown High School East graduate from the Class of 2015, Dani Nizich was a key contributor during one of the most successful eras in Smithtown East girls’ volleyball history.

🏐 Volleyball Accomplishments:
• Setter on the 2011 Suffolk County & Long Island Championship Team
• Libero on the 2013 Suffolk County Championship Team
• All-County Selection
• All-State Honoree
• Smithtown Booster Club MVP
• Suffolk County Defensive Player of the Year

Dani’s leadership, defensive excellence, and versatility helped lead the Bulls to championship success and established her as one of the premier volleyball players in program history.

Following her outstanding high school career, Dani continued competing at the collegiate level as a four-year letterwinner at Stony Brook University .

The Smithtown Booster Club is proud to announce the induction of Emily Graber Milliken into the 2026 Hall of Fame Class!

A 2006 Smithtown High School Central graduate, Emily Graber Milliken helped lay the foundation for the incredible success and tradition of Smithtown gymnastics. Her dedication, leadership, and excellence helped elevate the program and inspire future generations of gymnasts.

🤸‍♀️ Gymnastics Accomplishments:
• 2x Team MVP
• 4-Year Member of the Section XI State Team
• 4x All-County Selection

Emily continued her gymnastics career at Ithaca College , where she excelled both athletically and academically.

🎓 Collegiate Highlights:
• Academic All-American
• 2-Year Team Captain
• All-Conference Selection

Following her competitive career, Emily spent 12 years as an assistant coach at Ithaca College , helping guide gymnasts to:
⭐ 30 All-America Honors
⭐ 2 National Championships

Her impact on the sport earned her recognition as a:
🏅 2x National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Assistant Coach of the Year

Today, Emily continues to lead and inspire as the Principal of Fairley Elementary School in Hannibal, New York.

The Smithtown Booster Club is proud to announce the induction of Kyle Keenan into the 2026 Hall of Fame Class!

A 2011 Smithtown High School West graduate, Kyle Keenan is one of the greatest players in the history of the Smithtown West boys’ lacrosse program. During his outstanding four-year career with the Bulls, Kyle earned All-American honors, was selected All-County, and was a three-time All-Division honoree.

🥍 Lacrosse Accomplishments:
• School-record 288 career points
• 125 career goals and 163 assists
• All-American Selection
• All-County Honoree
• 3x All-Division Selection

Kyle’s elite vision, leadership, and playmaking ability helped establish him as one of the premier lacrosse players in school history.

🏈🏀 Multi-Sport Highlights:
• Earned All-Division honors in football
• Served as captain of the basketball team
• Excelled as a three-sport athlete throughout his high school career

After graduating from Smithtown West, Kyle continued his lacrosse career at Duke University , where he helped lead the Blue Devils to NCAA National Championships in 2013 and 2014. He earned All-NCAA Tournament honors in 2014 and scored the game-winning goal in the national championship game against Notre Dame.

Over 64 collegiate games at Duke , Kyle totaled 42 goals and 24 assists for 66 points. He was also a member of the U.S. Under-19 team that captured the 2012 World Championship.

Today, Kyle serves as deputy head of capital markets at Pagaya.
