This is LONG but please read all. I tagged everyone I could and who Facebook would allow. Tag away please..

I would like to update everyone on our year and thank several businesses, individuals, and groups throughout Sedalia and Pettis County. Year to date, we have helped 225 youth in our area with shoes. At the end of 2024 and throughout 2025, we quickly learned that families in our community were having a hard time with other basic needs in their households. Because of this, we made a few changes at Cav’s Sole Pursuit and began assisting with additional necessities as well.

1. We assisted a family with fuel to get back home.

2. When the federal government shut down, several families in the Pettis County area were feeling difficult times. It came as no surprise that, with the leadership, command staff, and employees at the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, along with us at Cav’s Sole Pursuit, we donated approximately 300 pounds of food to Open Door in Sedalia, Missouri.

3. We donated to Shop with a Cop and spoke with a few families about helping them with shoes.

4. One of our board members was contacted by a local school asking if we could help several children who needed Christmas at home. How could we say no to kids being able to open something at Christmas? So, we adopted five kids. Each child was given a set amount. We do not know who these kids are or who their families are, but we knew they were in our community, and we knew we needed to help—so we did.

The school provided us with a list of items they needed, wanted, and would like to have. Some of the items included body wash, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, new toothbrushes, hairbrushes, clothing, and several food items. At the end of the list, toys, crafts, and other items were also requested.

When it came time to shop, we asked our own children to assist. This brought me back to when my family would help the Elks Lodge with holiday baskets, and I was able to go with my uncle to deliver them. It was the biggest eye-opener a young kid could experience. Once our kids saw the items they were purchasing, they quickly learned that you never know what the person next to you is going through. Also for the things that they do not have to go without, and what other children their own age are silently struggling with.

5. As Christmas continued to get closer, we were contacted by someone from the Pettis County area asking if we could help one of their family members. We continued to talk with them in person, and at the end of the day, we purchased several household items for the family—items such as toilet paper, a vacuum, food to make meals last a week, and several small everyday necessities.

6. With the assistance of several friends, family members, co-workers, and businesses, we collected suitcases, backpacks, and duffel bags and donated them to the Saline County Children’s Division. We did the legwork, but Pettis County, you showed surrounding counties how we care about the small hearts in all communities.

I am sure I have left things out we have done, but I wanted to highlight the work we have been able to accomplish.

As I continue to write this, we are still working with families to get their kids the right footwear for returning to school and hope to have pictures posted of the shoes these kids select. In 2025, we had several outstanding sponsors and donors that we would like to highlight at the end of this long post. We have already started planning our 2026 events, and I am also hoping to have additional announcements for new projects throughout 2026.
Now, I would like to thank several businesses, sponsors, and donors:

· All of the co****le players—and I know I am missing several people, and I sincerely apologize to anyone I missed.

I want to thank everyone for helping us make a difference in our community. Furthermore, I want everyone listed above, and those of you that we may have missed, the difference that YOU have made by helping us achieve our goals. We are a small non-profit organization that does not receive any kind of federal or state funding. We are made of a board of directors consisting of 4 people. We all have children, and full-time jobs. We take time out of our busy schedules to do everything we can to help the youth of our community. So, seeing members of our community who also like us, have busy lives, out here doing the

most that they can to help, means the world to us. We are forever indebted to you; please know how much we appreciate you.

Please, if I missed you, tag yourself or message me, and I will edit this post and add you. Without you, we could not do this.

My dream of continuing to grow this effort lives on through the help of everyone in our community. I cannot wait to share more information with all of you as soon as the finishing touches are done.

We want to give a huge shout out to Central Missouri Police Academy (University of Central Missouri)
and their cadets for choosing us to donate their class money to.
Over the last 6 months they have raised money by doing different things. Dress down Fridays, no shave November, etc. each cadet paid for whatever they wanted to participate in, knowing that in the end, their money would be donated to a charitable cause.
And they chose us! 💙🫶🏻🖤
THANK YOU CMPA!!
We are so proud of each of you, and wish you the best going into your careers as Law Enforcement.

🦃 Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Thanks for supporting us another year. 🦃

👀👀 •COMMUNITY REQUEST• 👀👀
We need your help!!
We have been contacted by someone in the community.
Child Protective Services/ Department of Family Services is in need of duffle bags, luggage bags, etc.
They have an influx of children, and they would like luggage bags to be able to avoid putting the children’s belongings in trash bags.
If you have any luggage type bags that you are willing to donate please let us know.
Or if you would like to purchase duffle bags, or make a monetary donation so Cavs Sole Pursuit can purchase bags for CPS, please let us know.
This is not normally what we ask for from our community, however, we will do anything we can to help these kiddos!
As always, we are forever grateful for our supporters, and our community!
