The Village Foster Care and Adoptive Ministry The Village is a 501c3 nonprofit foster care and adoptive ministry serving the Chattahoochie Valley area in AL and GA.

I wanted to share a quick update on the impact The Village has made in our community so far this year!

From January 1 through October 12, 2026:

• 30 new families have been welcomed to The Village.
• 152 families have utilized The Village’s services.
• 486 children have been shopped for through The Village.

These numbers represent families who have received support, children who have been provided with clothing and necessities, and opportunities for us to be the hands and feet of Jesus to families in our community.

As our numbers continue to grow, we are reminded of how faithful God has been to provide for The Village through our donors, volunteers, churches, and supporters. We are so grateful for each person who plays a part in making this ministry possible!

Thank you for your continued support, prayers, and commitment to The Village. We look forward to seeing what else God has in store as we continue serving foster, adoptive, and guardianship families in our community.

The Village Store is ready for Fall & Winter! 🧥👖

We just restocked ALL the racks with fall and winter clothing, and once again, we are overwhelmed by God’s goodness and faithfulness! ❤️

Every rack, every size, every donation is a reminder that God provides exactly what The Village needs, when we need it. What may look like a simple clothing rack to some is a tangible answer to prayer for a foster, adoptive, or guardianship family.

We are truly blessed beyond measure by the generosity of our community and the many people who continue to give, serve, sort, organize, and pray for The Village.

God is so good! 🙌
And we are so grateful to be able to watch Him work through each and every one of you.

Thank you for helping us make sure our Village families have what they need—one season at a time. ❤️

Can I tell you one of the nicest things you can do for a foster family?

Stop saying, “Let me know if you need anything.”

I know.

You mean it. You’re trying to help.

But they’re probably never going to call you.

Not because they don’t need anything. Goodness, they probably need 47 things.

They’re just tired.

When a new child comes through the door, their brains are suddenly keeping track of appointments, paperwork, school, visits, medications, behaviors, clothing sizes, food preferences and approximately 700 other things.

Now they have to figure out what they need, decide what you’re willing to do AND ask you for it?

Their brains are full.

Just show up.

Send them dinner and don’t stay unless they invite you to.

Drop coffee on the porch.

Mow the grass.

Send a DoorDash gift card.

Grab diapers.

Ask what size the new little one wears and leave a bag on the porch.

Offer to drive their other kids to youth group or soccer.

Sit beside them at church when they arrive 20 minutes late, somebody is crying and at least one child is missing a shoe.

And please don’t underestimate the power of simply texting, “I’m praying for you. You don’t need to respond.”

You don’t have to become a foster parent to make foster care part of your ministry.

Sometimes supporting foster care looks incredibly ordinary.

A casserole. A cup of coffee. A mowed lawn. A Target run. A prayer whispered over a family that is absolutely exhausted.

Foster families appreciate when people say, “Call me if you need anything.”

But goodness, they REALLY appreciate the people who look around, notice what needs doing and say…

“I’ve got that.”

That’s community.

And I think that’s a pretty beautiful way to be the hands and feet of Jesus too.

Elsie is in GA’s foster system waiting for a second chance at a family. 🏠

This past Saturday we had an amazing group of students and parents from Cornerstone Church in Auburn come and serve with us! We are so appreciate of their hearts to serve our kiddos and families! Thank you so much and it is groups like you that make up the Village!

There are simply not enough words to express how grateful we are for Village Church and their faithful support of The Village FosterCare and Adoptive Ministry.

Because of their monthly financial support, we are able to keep our doors open and continue serving foster, adoptive, and kinship families in our community. Their generosity makes a difference every single month.

On Saturday, July 18, a faithful group of women from Village Church also gave their time to serve by tackling our donation storage room. They sorted through donations and made sure all the washed clothing was ready for the families we serve.

We truly could not do what we do without churches and supporters like Village Church. Thank you for praying, giving, serving, and believing in our mission. Your hands and hearts are helping us show the love of Christ to children and families who need it most.

We are beyond thankful for your partnership. ❤️
