There are approximately 300,000 churches in the U.S. and approximately 330,000 youth in foster care.

If just two families from each church fostered, there would be more than enough homes for youth in care. ⛪️

Even if you can't foster, there are so many ways to support our mission to help kids in care find homes and get the support they need. Visit our website or scroll our page to learn more! 💙

There are moments in a child’s life that change everything… and entering foster care is one of them.

They often come with very little—sometimes just the clothes on their back. No suitcase. No comfort items. No fresh start essentials.

But what if we could change that?
What if the very first thing they received was something brand new—something just for them—like clean socks and underwear? Something that says, “You matter. You are seen. You are cared for.”

💛 Just $10 a month can provide new socks or underwear for a child entering foster care through The Village Foster Care & Adoptive Ministry.

It may seem small to us… but to them, it’s dignity, comfort, and a reminder that they’re not alone.

So here’s the goal:
✨ Can we find 20 people willing to commit to $10 a month?
That’s 20 kids who will be met with care instead of uncertainty.

If you’ve ever wondered how you can make a real difference—this is it. Simple. Consistent. Impactful.

Drop a ❤️ or message us if you want to be part of this. Let’s show these kids they are worth it from day one.

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to these incredible women for loving on our Village in such a tangible way. From generously donating diapers and wipes to rolling up their sleeves on Saturday and diving into our storage room—binning, sorting, and organizing clothes for our Village kids—you made a real difference.
It takes a Village… and we are so thankful you’re part of ours.

We see you. We appreciate you. And we are better because of you.

✨ Be The Village: Monthly Giving Campaign ✨

Did you know many children enter foster care with nothing but the clothes they are wearing?

No bag.
No favorite blanket.
No sense of what comes next.

But YOU can change that.

We are launching our “Be The Village” Monthly Giving Campaign to provide consistent, tangible support to foster families and children in our community.

Here’s what your monthly gift can do:

💛 $10/month – Provides comfort items (stuffed animals, blankets) for children entering care

👕 $25/month – Provides clothing and essentials for new placements

🎒 $50/month – Supplies a fully stocked welcome bag for a child

🏡 $100/month – Helps support foster families with urgent, real-time needs.

When you give monthly, you become part of the village that shows up in a child’s hardest moment.
Not just once.
But again and again.

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. – Alpha Alpha Gamma Zeta Chapter for being the hands and feet of Jesus💙

These wonderful women organized a Closet Clean Out Donation Drive to support The Village, collecting clothing, shoes, and essentials for our foster, adoptive, and guardianship families. Not only did they lead the drive, but they also took the time to receive and sort the donations today.

We truly believe God moves through people who are willing to serve, and these ladies were such a blessing today. We are so excited to have partnered with them and are looking forward to more endeavors in the future!
Thank you, ladies of Zeta Phi Beta, for helping us stand in the gap for vulnerable children. We are so thankful for you and the difference you are making right here in our community.

“It takes a Village.” 💙

Recent statistics show that per capita, Alabama’s Black Belt region has some of the highest rates of children in foster care in our state.

As of February 6, nearly 6,000 children in Alabama were in foster care.

That number isn’t just a statistic.
It represents children who need safe homes.
Children who need stability.
Children who need people willing to stand in the gap.

The need is great — especially in our region — but so is the opportunity to make a difference.

This is why we do what we do.
This is why supporting foster, adoptive, and kinship families matters.
This is why community involvement is so important.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, supporting a foster family, volunteering, or partnering with organizations that serve vulnerable children… now is the time.

We can’t do everything — but together, we can do something. 💙
