Johnston County Public Schools added two additional sites, Clayton Middle and West Clayton Elementary, for curbside grab-and-go, pick up lunch service beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18 from 11:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. The full list of meal service sites include:

- Benson Middle
- Clayton Middle
- Cooper Academy
- Corinth-Holders Elementary
- Four Oaks Elementary
- Meadow School
- North Johnston Middle
- Pine Level Elementary
- Princeton Elementary
- Selma Elementary
- Smithfield-Selma High
- West Clayton Elementary
- West Smithfield Elementary

Beginning Wednesday, each site will offer meals on weekdays until further notice at no cost. Each meal will include a lunch and a shelf-stable breakfast. Any student under the age of 18 can receive a meal at any meal service location regardless of whether they attend Johnston County Public Schools. A parent or household member can come from the household to pick up the student meals.

In response to COVID-19 and the need for access to Distance Learning, Charter is offering up to 60 days of free Internet and WiFi to households with K-12 or college students. Additionally, all Spectrum WiFi hotspots will be open to public access (previously open only to subscribers).

In the coming weeks, many Americans will be affected either directly or indirectly by COVID-19 and Charter is focused on serving and supporting our 29 million customers.

Way to go Anna Hill!

Congratulations Anna Hill!

Anna is a senior at SSS who runs cross country, plays basketball and softball. She also found out today that she received the Park Scholarship, a four-year scholarship awarded on the basis of outstanding accomplishments and potential in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Anna will attend NCSU and has been accepted to the College of Engineering and Honors College.

Way to go Spartans!

Congratulations to the 116 member Spartan Regiment for winning FIRST PLACE in the Capital City Band Expo last weekend! The competition was held at Sanderson High School in Raleigh. The Spartan Regiment also earned the following awards in preliminaries:

Class 3A - 1st place
Color Guard - 1st place
Percussion - 2nd place
Effect - 1st place
Visual- 1st place
Music - 2nd place

SSS has competed in this competition for 17 years and this is the first time they've won! The band is directed by Brian Jones and is assisted by Leigh Anne Deans, Justin Holmes, and Devian Bagley. This season's show is called "Shattered".

See them perform again Friday night as SSS takes on Clayton High School for "Senior Night".
