What a phenomenal human being! ❤️
If you've followed us long enough, you know we love to celebrate our members as they reach key milestones throughout their careers. New certifications, promotions, and certainly retirements are all worthy of fanfare and congratulations.
We couldn't let an opportunity slip us by to celebrate someone who has supported our membership since our inception. Vicki Taylor is the Director of our Prince William Public Safety Resilience Center. As a licensed clinical social worker, Vicki helped establish the resiliency structure that helps support the 2nd largest Fire and Rescue System in the Commonwealth.
Vicki's husband is a retired member of Local 2598 that hung up his boots after decades of service to the Prince William County Fire & Rescue System. 45 years ago Vicki joined that same system. As if helping firefighters wasn't enough, Vicki and her team also support all public safety agencies in Prince William including the Prince William County Police Department, the Prince William County Sheriff's Office, Prince William County 911 Communications, and the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center.
Vicki's commitment to the betterment of all public servants extends well beyond the borders managed by the Prince William County Government, Virginia. Vicki serves on the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and is co-author (and trainer) of "Stress First Aid for Firefighters and Emergency Medical Personnel" as well as "Stress First Aid for Law Enforcement Officers."
Congratulations on 45 years of service Vicki! You have saved and touched more lives than we can tally. For that, we are incredibly grateful.
