The Smethport Rotary Club is proud to recognize Smethport graduates Mara Ours and Cole Burdick as this year’s scholarship recipients.

Mara will attend Penn State University, where she plans to study Food Science, and Cole will attend Alfred State University to pursue a career in HVAC.

Club President Kim Ball congratulated Mara and Cole on behalf of the Smethport Rotary Club and recognized them for their hard work and accomplishments.

Supporting the education and goals of our local young people is one of the many ways Rotary invests in the future of our community. We are proud to play a small part in Mara and Cole’s next chapter and wish them both continued success!

Have you been to the McKean County Courthouse to check out the displays in the hallway connecting the 2 buildings??? If not, we think ours is the best! It will be always changing celebrating our Smethport community.

At our annual assembly
we welcomed our new Rotary president, Kimberly Worthington Ball. We look forward to a year of fresh ideas, dedicated service, and continued fellowship. We also extend our sincere gratitude to our outgoing president, Joy Ammerman for her outstanding leadership, commitment, and the lasting impact she has made on our club. Not only as President but previous decades as Club Secretary and heading up fund raising and community service projects that will be appreciated for years to come. Congratulations ladies!

Our club is responsible for one of the display cases in the courthouse. We would like to change it to commemorate 250 years of our country! If you have anything from the Bicentennial or anything pertinent to the establishment of the USA you would be willing to display, please contact us. Items, pictures can also be dropped at Northwest. EVERYTHING WILL BE RETURNED!
