Thinking about exhibiting a market steer at the McKean County Fair? Whether you're a first-time project member or looking to improve your skills, this workshop is designed to help you get started with confidence!

Join us for Beef 101: Starting Off on the Right Hoof on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the McKean County 4-H Center. Participants will learn the fundamentals of selecting, managing, feeding, and caring for a market steer while gaining valuable tips to help set their project up for success from day one.

This workshop is open to all 4-H and FFA youth, as well as anyone interested in learning more about market steer projects and preparing for the county fair. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend, too!

🥧 Calling All Pie Bakers! 🥧

We’re excited to host a Pie Auction directly following the McKean County Jr. Livestock Sale on Thursday, August 20th!

All proceeds will benefit McKean County 4-H & FFA programming and help support our local youth!

📍 Donated pies must be dropped off at the 4-H Building by 6:00 PM on Wednesday and include a recipe card and brief description.
