A couple of weeks ago, DOVIA hosted its annual awards ceremony recognizing outstanding community volunteers, and we were proud to celebrate one of our own!
The Sacramento Valley Conservancy is fortunate to have an incredible community of volunteers who make our public access programs so special. This year, one of our newest Leads, Tim McCrink, was nominated for Volunteer of the Year. An honor that was very well deserved.
As our Lead Geology Docent, Tim’s geology hikes have quickly become some of our most popular outings. Beyond leading hikes, Tim is always looking for ways to engage local students and fellow docents, helping to build a stronger connection to the lands we protect.
We’re also excited that Tim will be joining our Mountain Bike (MTB) Docent Team this season! Be sure to meet Tim and our other fantastic MTB docents on Mondays from July through October, between 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Congratulations, Tim, and thank you for all you do for SVC and our community!
