With November 1st right around the corner, we’re already dreaming about turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and pumpkin pie.

If you are — or know — a local Sloatsburg Veteran in need of a turkey for Thanksgiving, we invite you to stop by the Sloatsburg Village Municipal Building to pick up a free Thanksgiving turkey on Saturday, November 22nd.

Let’s celebrate the season of gratitude by giving back to those who’ve served our country.

The Village of Sloatsburg

The Village of Sloatsburg is proud to annouce the Sloatsburg Veterans Banner Program. This program will honor local veterans with banners dedicated to their service proudly displayed around the Sloatsburg Community Fields.

Banners will cost $175 a piece and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Once all spots have been filled you will be placed on a wait list and contacted once a spot is made available.

Sloatsburg Residents,
The Sloatsburg American Legion will be distributing Christmas Toys to the children of Sloatsburg on Saturday, December 21st.
This year, Santa Claus will be handing out presents at the Sloatsburg Fire House from 9am till 12pm. If possible, we ask children living north of Municipal Plaza to come from 9am till 10:30. Children living south of Municipal Plaza come from 10:30
till noon.
The Sloatsburg American Legion has been doing this for many years and we look forward to continuing this tradition for many more years.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated and will go towards next year’s event. Thank you for your support and Merry Christmas!!!

Today, we honor the 83rd anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day and remember the bravery and sacrifices of those who served during one of our nation’s most pivotal moments.

I’m grateful for our two home town heroes, Mr. Robert Wagenhoffer and Mr. Harrison Bush, who remind us of the courage, dedication, and resilience of all who have served. Their stories inspire us to never forget the sacrifices made to protect our freedoms.
