Here are pictures of this year’s float entries!! We selected a few random spectators to tell us their favorites this year and here are the winners! We want to emphasize that it was not easy as they were all so good!!!

1st - Bakers Lawn Care and Snow Removal
2nd - Paul and Marie Kerns
3rd (tie) - Nick and Jill Kerr and Savannah Hinze - KW Siouxland

We decided everyone is a winner this year so each float participant will receive a prize!!!

We greatly appreciate you all who come back year after year to support us and put in all the work to enter a float! THANK YOU!!!! We are surprised by the creativity every year!! ❤️💚

TOMORROW is the day!!

❗️PARADE GOERS❗️
Same as last year, The parade will start at the corner of 4th and Beall Streets. Cars will line up down 4th Street to Cedar Street. Then will continue lining up down Cedar Street and, if necessary, Rebel Way. All side streets (excluding Buckley Street) along 4th Street will be closed to help with the flow of traffic. There will be people at the corner of 4th and Buckley to help direct traffic. Parade will start at 6:15PM!!

Reminder, you’ll be able to walk through and see the floats up close if you prefer from 5:45 to 6:15PM.

❗️FLOAT PARTICIPANTS❗️
Please arrive downtown and have floats ready by 5:30 PM. You will be facing the opposite direction as the parade route. So enter at 5th Street and Evans Street heading South on Evans and you will be lined up (down 4th Street and Evans Street) in the order you arrive. We will be there to help direct you where to park. If you’re wondering which side of your vehicle to decorate, your driver’s side will be towards the street, so focus on that side!! The plan is for the parade to last until approximately 7:15 PM. Thank you so much for your participation! We look forward to seeing everyone’s floats!!

If you haven't checked out the new Christmas decor downtown, here is a preview!!! Thanks to your past donations, we were able to help purchase the new light pole decor, lighted tree and topper.

You can check it all out at the lighted parade Sunday, December 5!! Walk through parade 5:45 - 6:15. Drive through parade 6:15 - 7:15.

I know it's not even fall yet, but the Lighted Parade is already on our minds! 🎄 We're always planning fundraisers for the parade to raise money for the city of Sloan and for improvements around town. In the past our money raised has gone to the splash pad, the new bathroom facilities at the park, and new Christmas decor for downtown!! We have lots of little things planned this season, but we're going to start a little early (because these bracelets take 8 weeks to arrive 😬). We're custom ordering Christmas Pura Vida bracelets that will look like the picture. We have some on order but are looking to get an idea of how many people may be interested before ordering more. Bracelets will be $8/piece. Please comment below if you are interested and how many you would be interested in - that way we can order more if needed! Please share and spread the word. Thanks!!!!

❗️TO-GO SOUP LUNCH❗️

Sunday from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Sloan Community Hall.

We will have the usual Chicken Noodle Soup, Vegetable Beef, and Chili to choose from, and each lunch will include a dinner roll and cookie!

Come in anytime between 11 AM TO 2 PM to place your order and grab your to-go lunch -OR- call or text either of the numbers below to place your order and it will be ready to go when you arrive!

There will be curbside pickup for anyone who wishes to remain in their vehicle. Designated parking for curbside pickup will be clearly marked in front of the Community Hall.

Delivery option for in-town Sloan orders upon request.
