🔌 Join us for our Portable Generator Workshop, where we will be focusing on how to decide what type of generator to acquire, how to determine the size that's needed and various ways to hook it up to power the house or items in the house. 💡

A FREE workshop on “Window Glass Replacement and Glazing” will be held on Saturday, June 13th from 10am to Noon by the Lawrence County Partners for Preservation with Ed Petrus. This will be a “hands-on” workshop, with each participant learning the basics of glass repair and having the opportunity to apply and finish the window glazing.” The workshop will include glass cutting tools, glazier's points, canned putty versus caulking tube, glass replacement and re-glazing.

A workshop on “Emergency Plumbing Fixes” will be held on Saturday, March 14th from 10am to Noon by the Lawrence County Partners for Preservation with Ed Petrus. This workshop will cover Emergency Plumbing Fixes including frozen pipes and more.

A workshop on “repairing mortar joints” will be held on Saturday, September 13th at 10 AM by the Lawrence County Partners for Preservation. Presenter Ed Petrus said “A lot of homes, especially older ones, need repairs to their brickwork. This workshop will cover simple tips for minor repairs, not full re-pointing, which is best left to professionals. We’ll cover the different types of mortar and tools and techniques for making mortar joint repairs. Left unrepaired, bad brickwork will rapidly deteriorate and may even cause structural failure.”

A workshop on the basics of paint and painting will be held on Wednesday, April 16th at 6:30 PM by the Lawrence County Partners for Preservation. It is being held in coordination with Joe Wilson of Packard Paint, and will cover such issues as the differences between oil-based and latex-based paint, types of tools, brushes, and rollers, tips and tricks to get the best finish, and more. The workshop will be geared for the average Do-It-Yourselfer/homeowner, and follows previous workshops on wall repair and the basics of plumbing and electricity. This will be a hands-on workshop with each participant using the needed tools, which will be supplied.
