🇺🇸 COME MEET THE CANDIDATES!

HCBRA is inviting ALL candidates on the November 3rd ballot to join us for an informational Candidate Forum!

We already have several confirmed participants representing races for:

⭐ St. Tammany Parish Sheriff
⭐ Louisiana Public Service Commission
⭐ East St. Tammany City Court Judge
⭐ City Marshal
⭐ More Candidates Running
..with invitations extended to candidates in other races appearing on the November ballot as well!

This is NOT a debate. Our goal is simply to give candidates an opportunity to introduce themselves, share their backgrounds and talk about their vision for the office they hope to serve.

This is a wonderful opportunity to become a more informed voter, hear directly from the people asking for your vote, and learn more about the offices that impact our community.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month.

It’s well documented that mental issues and su***de plague the military/veteran community.

I’ve lost more people after war than I did to it.

That’s why we all need to work to fight this tide that shatters itself on the shoreline of our community.

This is not just a military/veteran issue.

This is something that affects all of us.

This is a human issue.

It will take all of us to change it.

Social connections save lives.

One phone call, one text can save someone you don’t even know is struggling.

One conversation can save a life.

On August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina made landfall and altered the course of Louisiana history forever. We lost neighbors, homes, and pieces of communities that can never fully be replaced.

But Louisiana didn’t stay down. Block by block, family by family, we rebuilt — and in doing so, we became something even stronger than before.

Today we honor the lives lost, we remember the storm that tested us, and we celebrate the resilience that still defines who we are. 💙

To every veteran, first responder, and Louisianan who lived through it and helped bring our state back — thank you.
