Just need 5 minutes of your time!!! House Bill 264 would require that anyone arrested for drunk driving cannot be released from custody until a safe-release clearance is made. They must be held a minimum of 8 hours if their blood alcohol concentration is still above the legal limit. They cannot bond out. They cannot walk out the door still drunk. Not until it is determined safe to release them.

That protection did not exist when we lost Jada.

HB 264 will be heard by the House Committee on Administration of Criminal Justice this Thursday April 23. These are the people who decide if it moves forward. We need them to hear from you!

Please take five minutes and email every member below. We have written the email for you, if you need. Copy it, add your name, and send it. Then share this post. Text it to someone right now!!

Today Jada’s Law was assigned to a committee!!!

One step closer to making sure lives are protected and accountability matters.

We keep going. For Jada. For every family who should never have to walk this road. 💛

Jada’s Law would require:

✔️ A person arrested for impaired driving must be medically sober before release.
✔️ If there is no chemical test, they must be held for a minimum period of time.
✔️ Law enforcement must document safe transportation before release.
✔️ Vehicles involved must be secured so they cannot be driven away.
✔️ Rental car companies must be notified and cannot return a vehicle to an unsafe driver.

This law is not about punishment.
It is about prevention.
It is about accountability.
It is about making sure another family does not live through what ours has lived through.
Jada’s story matters.
Her legacy is about protecting lives moving forward.
