Automatic Response to All Hometown Heroes Banners Emails
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in participating in the Hometown Heroes Banners Program. We will start accepting applications for 2022 in February 2022. Our plan is to hang the banners from Memorial Day through Veteran's Day 2022.
Emails will be responded to in the order in which they were received. They will also be assigned numbers based on when they were received. Again, thank you for your interest and we will respond to you soon.

To honor our local “Hometown Heroes,” The City of Slidell, Leadership Northshore Alumni Association, Cleco, Southside Café, American Legion 185, and ASAP Printing & Digital Imaging will begin the Hometown Heroes Banner Program in 2020.

When WWLTV Channel 4 interviews our families then bring the videos to Beirut Lebanon, Christmas 1983.

35 years ago, WWL-TV reporters were assigned to report on American soldiers stationed in Beirut, Lebanon. Together, they celebrated Christmas in a foreign land.

We will begin our Wreaths Across America Event at 11:00am tomorrow, December 18th, rain or shine. The ceremony starts at 11:00am but the suggested arrival time is 9:30 for parking and seating. If you are not able to make it in person we will attempt to have a live feed of the ceremony (weather and technology permitting) on this page.

Please remember if you can order a wreath for next year WAA is matching every wreath purchase from December 18th through January 14th so place your orders starting tomorrow to help us reach our even larger goal next year.

Thank you so much to everyone who has made this year a success by sponsoring a wreath, we reached our goal just in time and we will have a wreath on every grave this year!! We could not do this without you.
