We are so very excited to have 8 amazing young women, rising seniors (Class of 2027), from various schools throughout the area, representing our Post 374 Legion family at Louisiana American Legion Auxiliary Girls State 2026!

They started their journey at Girls State this past Sunday and will be there until this Saturday, June 20th, at Southeastern Louisiana University.

Our 2026 post delegates are:

Avery Liles- Mandeville High School
Sarah Johnsen- Northshore High School
Lauryn Hobgood- Northshore High School
Maivys Barroscruz- Northshore High School
Brooklyn Orr- Northshore High School
Camille Hicks- First Baptist Christian
Sarah Rao- Northshore High School

The girls have been busy all week absorbing knowledge, sharing ideas, and creating life-long friends!

We are proud of the young women we have representing us and cannot wait to hear all about it!

Many thanks to our Post 374 Legion families of the Legion, the Auxiliary, and the Riders, as well as multiple individuals who are post members who stepped up and helped sponsor these girls and provided them with an unforgettable experience.

ISO: Sponsors at all levels for the upcoming American Legion Baseball tournament in July.
We also have a qualified team in our state that needs $1,000 to participate in the tournament. Let's pull together and help support these gentlemen. I already have a $50 donation toward the cause.

If you also have a business, consider a sponsor level starting at $50. Last year, it cost over $17,000 after sponsorships to pay for this tournament. We want to ensure that events like this can still occur.

I encourage local organizations and businesses to show their support, and PLEASE SHARE this with anyone they feel may be interested.
