Summerfest may be over, but before we close the book on an incredible weekend, we need to recognize the people who helped make it all possible.

We are proud to recognize the City of Sleepy Eye as a BACON SPONSOR of the 2026 Sleepy Eye Summerfest and an essential partner in creating a safe, welcoming, and successful community celebration.

Long before the first event began, City staff and departments were already at work preparing parks and public spaces, coordinating logistics, placing barricades, managing traffic plans, checking facilities, addressing safety needs, and helping solve the countless details that come with welcoming thousands of people to our community.

Throughout the weekend and after the crowds went home, they kept working.

Summerfest simply could not happen at this scale without the City’s cooperation, expertise, equipment, planning, and people. Their work allowed the rest of us to gather, celebrate, and enjoy the weekend knowing capable hands were helping keep everything running safely and smoothly.

Summerfest 2026 was one for the books, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who came out, participated, volunteered, sponsored, performed, served, organized, supported, and simply showed up to celebrate with us.

Seeing our parks, streets and businesses filled with residents, returning friends and visitors enjoying Sleepy Eye is exactly what this weekend is all about. Thank you for making Summerfest 2026 such an amazing success!

For more than 85 years, Sleepy Eye’s Knights of Columbus Council #3134 has supported St. Mary’s parish, local students, families, charitable causes, and the greater community. Their members consistently put service into action by giving their time, talents, and resources wherever they are needed.

We are proud to recognize the Knights of Columbus Council #3134 as a BACON SPONSOR of the 2026 Sleepy Eye Summerfest!

And because sponsoring Summerfest apparently wasn’t enough, the Knights are also working hard at Pork & Pints in the Park TODAY, serving up:
