"The dream is simply to save horses that aren’t being cared for and to help them gain back strength and lead them to their forever homes." UPDATED 2021 - Almost 19 years ago I married my wife. When we married, I had three girls and she had three boys. Together, we had two more children. Most of these years we have spent struggling to make it and raising our large family with all the various dynami
cs involved. My wife has dedicated herself to making it work for every single one of us. Success to us has been being able to pay our bills on time and gaining financial freedom by having a couple hundred a month of spending money. With that, we have now been able to put my wife in school to accomplish the dream she’s had for years; become a veterinary tech and to own horses. (UPDATE: She has finished her vet tech schooling and accepted into DEL VAL college for equine tgerapy) It’s something she deserves from all of her work and dedication to our children and me. Her passion for horses has always existed, and she has spent much of her life working and training in equestrian riding, as well as specifically assisting handicapped children to help them develop better motor skills through horse-riding. Recently, my wife ran into several horses that were extremely malnourished. They either had to receive immediately help or be euthanized. This sparked something in her and knew she had to do something. The dream is simply to save horses that aren’t being cared for and to help them gain back strength and lead them to their forever homes. It seems we may have happened upon the perfect place to make this dream a reality. (UPDATE: We moved in 4 years ago, see pictures) Our desire to help these animals became even stronger as we felt closer to this becoming a posibility. We know we can't save all the horses in the world. We know it's not perfect. We know it needs a lot of hard work. We know it needs planning. We know we need your help. All money that is donated will go toward purchasing the property, the barn, repairs, stalls, developing a working area to support the rescure efforts, and feeding these horses until they find a permanent, caring home. (UPDATE: We have property and barn. caring for 2 rescue horses to work with. Our next project is to build closed in run-in sheds with narrow short walkways so horse can walk, but not run and re-injure themselves. These would be for rescued horses that can heal.)
